Description: Foundation with goal of changing the way society and the mass media interact.

Newest Review: ... The obsession for men ad shows a man peering down his boxers showing what mens obsession is! It has been estimated that we are subjected to over 100 advertisments a day. Think about it. On the bus, billboards, TV, radio, in newspapers, even here on DooYoo. You can't escape the power of the big (and small) companies. The site also runs various campaigns such as TV turn off week and Buy ... more

... Nothing Day. Buy Nothing Day is to be held on November 23rd, although I can't help thinking that it will fail to have much effect. The idea is to "break the trance of consumer culture for a day". Even 100 years ago, people went shopping w...more

It is instead a site set up by one of the scions of the anti-capitalist brigade and is seemingly intended to make us not want to go shopping on 24th November "in protest" at something or other. The people behind this site really don't have a clue about what they are talking about: trade and consumerism have made people's lives better since the year dot. The urge to control what other people say, think and do is what motivates these pathetic middle-class ...
