aldi.co.ukNewest Review: ... chains are on the rise but unfortunately many of their advertising campaigns do not follow suit. Aldi has always been at the front of my mind for supermarket bargains as I live quite close to an outlet, but it is their website which stands out as suitable for its intended purpose. Aldi.co.uk could effectively be described as as a virtual leaflet. The website is rich in visual content which ... more |

Aldi.co.uk is the official website for the British branch of German based supermarket "Aldi". It offers users current and up to date promotions for items found in store. Since its launch in 1996 it has proven to be a mildly popular resource. Alexa traffic research currently ranks the website as being the 1115th most accessed site in the United Kingdom. It understandably sees nearly 92% of its traffic from UK based computers. The rest of the domain's traffic originates from Ireland, Australia, Germany and the United States. It seems that folks nowadays are counting their pennies with more vigor. Discount based chains are on the rise but unfortunately ... Read the complete review

Unlike Tesco parking is easy, the carpark is not usually full, it is quite small , therefore there is no lengthy trek to the door. I like walking, but it does add time if you are in a hurry. As a former Lidl customer I really did not expect too much from newly opened Aldi in Hatfield/Hertfordshire. How wrong I was! Maybe because it is still fresh and less than year old, it looks clean and nice. Typical decor - as cheap looking as offered food:) Shopping alleys are wide enough for several trolleys and you won't find any obstructive baskets - there is only one place where all bargain products are and it looks a bit empty 2 days after the promotion start date. The question is why it is different and I will not shop in Lidl anymore? ... Read the complete review

I wish I could remember how and when I discovered the Aldi website, but I really can't, so I'll just say that it was more than a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure that it was some sort of Google gadget hunt which threw me in their direction, anyway I discovered it so lets move on. So first of all find it at http://www.aldi.co.uk/. Secondly sign up for their twice weekly email which highlights special offers available in-store. Now the website has evolved quite a lot over the last few years. I seem to remember it initially being mainly gadgets and various house and garden objects of desire being presented in a dozen or so little ... Read the complete review
