I have had experience with www.alibaba.com in the past few years and thought I'd give you a brief insight into the website and it's functions.
Alibaba.com is billed as the world's largest online trading platform, connecting millions of buyers and suppliers worldwide every day.
If you are buyer you can search products and suppliers and contact them about the things they sell that interest you. Plus you can also post buying leads which means if you are looking for a particular thing then suppliers can contact you if they have them to purchase.
The site is also used by suppliers wishing to sell their products and works in the other way whereby they can contact buyers directly.
The website is used alot by companies wishing to buy products in bulk for cheap wholesale prices but can also be used by individuals or those wishing to start up online businesses. The concept is great and the site looks great.
When you search you should always look for gold suppliers as they are supposedly the most reliable on there.
However, a word of warning if you are thinking of purchasing from here. I have mixed experiences on there, admittedly all from suppliers in Asia. I found a supplier on there of clone golf clubs which were great and couldn't fault them. The transaction was smooth and transferred the money to them via a money transfer and delivery was quick enough.
However, you need a lot of trust when dealing with some of these supppliers and I have ordered things in the past where the goods were either fake like electronic goods or they never arrived.
I would research the supplier as much as possible before handing over the cash and the fact that alot of these suppliers don't accept paypal is worse.
The problem with this site is that they can't do too much about it if you order through a supplier that doesn't post out the goods. The almost wash their hands of all responsibility.
The website is great in principle and well worth a look but be very careful when ordering and if possible order a very small quantity first to get the trust with a supplier and make sure the goods are real and arrive at all
