The Alienware series of computers may have been a popular thing in the PAST, providing gaming computers which performs at the best allowing players to game comfortably with high settings. However, Alienware is now no longer the forerunner for gamers. With custom build computers becoming increasingly popular, the old age Alienware technology seems closer than ever; and can be purchased for cheaper. Graphics cards, mother boards, coolers etc can now be purchased individually and with companies such as Pc Case Gear which provides assembling services making it easier for gamers to build their dream machine.
The fact that Alienware is charging more for their name is decreasing their sale yearly as they do not improve anything of the system besides adding in their softwares which doesnt make much of a difference.
On the other hand, If you are afraid of warranty issues when having to assemble it together oh have not much knowledge about computers and the pieces [ such as which motherboard would co-operate with which graphics card], then the alienware would probably be a simpler way out.
Another good thing about the Alienware is their model : X51 and the laptop series.
-The X51 is a desktop which is the size of half a normal cpu tower. packing in alot of stuff, enough to run many games in high - extreme. I doubt the average gamer could custom build one this small and runs efficiently.
-The Alienware laptops are also very up to date. The specs are probably top of the range is one of the few good gaming laptops. Ignoring the size and the weight of the machine, it is actually a fine piece of work. However, this used to be a much greater thing back in the day as now other companies are beginning to catch up and are producing better gaming laptops which are smaller and lighter - probably also equal or better performance. Laptops such as the Razer Blade / MSI Gaming Series / Asus G Series ROG etc.. for example.
Taking into account the price factor, the alienware still fall behind in our current age.
Nevertheless, it is still a great system but it just gives less value then what you actually pay for.
Alienware are the best kind of gaming computers you can get. I got an Alienware system at beginning of December last year and it's amazing.
My specs include; 12GB RAM, 3TB Hard Drives, Dual 2GB Graphics Cards, Dual 24" Monitors plus alot more.
With Alienware you can get both high specification Laptops and Desktops. They are very expensive though. My system, which is a max spec desktop with 2 24" monitors and 2 max spec 17" laptops cost me close to £20,000.
When you buy an Alienware computer you get all the help, support and guarentee you need.
You also get some neat little accessories such as your own personal number plate if you buy a laptop, a hat, a pen and even a mousemat.
All I can say is you get alot of benefits if you buy one of these systems and you won't be disappointed. If you are a hardcore gamer or just love gaming in general I recommend you buy one of these systems. They are amazingly great.
Alienware is a website that sells high-powered gaming Desktops and Laptops, as well as graphics cards.
The website is extremely good looking, it has futuristic themes that suit the name of the website, as well as the products which they sell and the company logo. The navigation of the website is also very easy to use. The links are easy to find, and everything is clearly labelled so the user always knows what they are doing.
When viewing the different machines the website really comes into it's own, as there are animations of each part of the different machines in order to fully display the different parts of the computers. This is a very good way to find out which machine you want. If the animations aren't enough to show a consumer which laptop they want then there are large sections of the site dedicated to the statistics of the machines. For people who don't have the knowledge or the time to trawl through reams of stats however there is a simplified 5-star rating system in different categories including the computers capabilites in Gaming, Sound and Video.
I have heard that Alienware desktops and computers can be unreliable, but I have never met anyone who experienced such problems, and I personally believe that stories of broken computers are often blown out of proportion. However if there are problems with products Alienware has a good customer service team, that will be able to help consumers with almost all of their problems, from installation to technical problems.
The products that Alienware sell are very good. They include high powered desktops ranging in price from around £650-£2500. There are also laptops that range from £800-£2000. These two products come with a huge range of customisable options, with the consumer being able to choose specific graphics cards, processors and even chassis colours and lights to suit their needs. For people who want to buy a laptop, it should be noted that they have an infamously short battery life, and are intended more as a desktop replacement system, rather than in order to do work on the move, as they can often only have a lifespan around one and a half hours. Alienware also sell a good range of headphones and other computer accessories that are always to a very good standard, and look fantastic.
Finally Alienware delivers is products quickly and (more importantly for such expensive kit) safely, and the customer service section is once again at hand to answer any questions.
Overall Alienware is a great website and I would highly recommend the products on it to anyone. People often critisise Alienware for it's high prices, but Alienware was not a company founded to provided cheap laptops. It was a company founded to provide great looking, powerful gaming computers and that is undoubtedly what it does best.
