Advantages: Did pay out
Disadvantages: Now closed
Alladvantage When I first went online 3 years ago, I probably was like a lot of people and thought the net would be a great way of earning money with all these companies wanting to throw money at us users. When I looked into it though there were very few in Britain. All Advantage however was one of them. I signed up and the cheques started to come in, not huge amounts to be honest but enough to warrant keeping going. But as time went on, pay rates dropped, then they shrank to nothing unless you joined the sweepstake to win a big prize ( $100,000 ) if I remember right. It a couple of months before this point I started to have problems receiving the money due. They said I had multiple accounts. How this would have benefited me I dont know, seeing as you could only run one viewbar at a time ( unless I am showing my techno ignorance ) In the end I finally did receive my cheque in November 2000 and since then I have heard nothing until I saw a report in a chatroom that it had shut when I suddenly realised the viewbar had been inactive for abou a week. Sure enough, the home page is no longer valid and emails to the company are unanswered. Its a shame as it was one of the few that did pay out and operating in Britain. Over the 3 year period, I got around £70. Not much you may say, but better than a slap in the face with a sharp fish! Fortunately, I only has around £2.00 unclaimed when it closed. When will the next opportunity to make money for doing nothing extra comes along I dont know. But we can be sure, it wont pay out as much. If it had been still going, this would have been a much higher rating. One final question, why no closing email to subscribers ?

- 23/03/01 great opinion, I didn't even know that they've closed. I signed up with them when the hourly rate was acceptable, then it went down to something silly- like 2p. And they changed the payout rate as well. I got up to £12.00... so I guess I won't be getting that then.
