Advantages: Lots of stuff about hip hop
Disadvantages: It hasn't really turned me onto this kind of music
Knowing nothing about hip hop music, I thought I'd take a little while to try to find out something about this style. I headed over to www.allhiphop.com as I thought that it might provide me with what I'm looking for.
I was amused to begin with that the subtitle for the site is "the world's most dangerous site." I have to say that this is quite a dubious claim - unless someone turns up my house in the next few days and chops me up into little pieces with a chainsaw, I can't really say it is a particularly 'dangerous' site - although maybe that's just me not being hip and groovy enough with the young-peoples-speak to actually buy into what the word 'dangerous' means for this culture.
The other thing that struck me however was the comprehensiveness of the site. There are a number of different sections, all of which are regularly updated. The top story in the 'features' section is an interesting article about an artist called T La Rock, which was posted last Friday.
The other section I'd like to mention is called 'media zone' and this features music and video on the site. After playing some of the music featured there, such as tracks by Busta Rhymes and Slim Thug I have to say that I have decided that hip hop music is not for me, although I do feel that the excellence of this site is worth mentioning.
A good site if you like hip hop music, not a particularly good site if you don't.
Summary: All Hip Hop has lots about hip hop, unsurprisingly!
