Advantages: It helps you understand your mood
Disadvantages: Don't take it too seriously. If it suggests something is wrong, be positive and aim for self-respect, self-moderation, self-confidence, self development.
Take the test and gain some insights into your feelings. Click on the colours that come up on the screen (red, blue, green, yellow, black, grey, purple, brown)in order of preference. Then on your screen will appear a description of your mood. The site: www.auflauf.freeserve.co.uk or www.saunalahti.fi/jawap/colour/colortest.html or www.davideck.com/cgi-bin/tests.cgi?... or look up 'Luscher' The psychologist Max Luscher devised the test in 1947. It always seems to work for me! For example if the test tells me I am restless, or discontented, or feeling self-pity or feeling self-doubt, then I have the chance to think: I need to be more light hearted! I need to adjust to the situation and be more content! I need to take on the challenges of life and be more self-confident! I need to be more noble in my behaviour. According to Luscher, the balanced person achieves self-development (happy, light hearted, doesn't cling to worldly goods, independent), self-moderation (charitable, content, adjusting to the possibilities), self-confidence (ready for achievement and challenge), and, self-respect (acting fairly, noble behaviour). The balanced person is like Robinson Crusoe, able to cope ON HIS OWN! The balanced person is like Hans-in-Luck, unworried by things that have happened IN THE PAST! The balanced person is like Diogenes, happy to live A SIMPLE LIFE (he supposedly lived in a barrel). The balanced person is like the noble philosopher, confident he is acting FAIRLY (and that he will get a good reincarnation?). The balanced person is not lonely, not angry, not anxious... (See "The 4-Color Person" by Dr Max Luscher) The test only tells you your feelings at that particular moment (your feelings may change hour by hour). The test does not tell you how to sol
ve your problems. If the test suggests you want a change of scene, that does not necessarily mean that a change of scene would be good for you. It may mean that you are making the mistake of thinking the grass is greener.... If the test suggests you feel a bit lonely, that does not necessarily mean that you should immediately rush out to the pub . It may mean that you are making the mistake of not realising how wonderful it can be to get a bit of solitude sometimes... The value of the test is that it clarifies what is wrong or right. If the test comes out negative that is a challenge to become more noble, moderate, self confident etc. The test can be found at http://www.auflauf.freeserve.co.uk/testcard1.htm or look up Luscher colour test with Alta Vista. Have a nice day.
