Advantages: Easy to use, useful options to choose from

Disadvantages: Sellers who think they can rob you off

I passed my driving test in July 2009, and hadnt really been that fussed about getting a car as soon as I passed, so I thought I'd wait until September when I was due to start back at uni.

It was my boyfriend who told me about this website, and because I know nothing about cars and had no idea what kind of car I wanted he told to go on this website to see what there was.

For someone who knows nothing about cars and have no experrience of buying a car beforfe this was a great website. You have different options which you can choose, for example there is:

The Make
The Model
(with these two you are able to select any model and make to give you a wider variety)

Postcode- you type in your postcode and then there is an option that allows you select the distance you wish to search within. I chose mine
at 20miles.

Min Price/Max Price- You are able to select your minium price budget and maxium. As I was on a budget this was great, as I didnt want to be trawling through cars which I knew I couldnt afford!

For people who know more about cars and have specific requirements in mind, there are other options, such as:
-Fuel Type
-Mileage
-Body Type
-Engine Size etc

But for those of you like me who dont really have a clue then you can leave these blank!

You then click search and hopefully there will be a list of cars that you may be interested in.
The majority of the cars have pictures on there, and you can also see other information about the car which the seller has left. The main points which come up at the side of the picture are, the mileage, the engine size and whether it is automatic or manual. You can then click on the car which will give you further information and also contact information if you wish to proceed further. Other information which the seller should supply on here is the MOT and TAX information, although you may have to phone directly for some of them. I tended to look on the DVLA website for TAX information on a car.

My experience with this website was very positive. I found a number of cars on there which I enquired about and went to see a few of them. If you are after a car then I would definately recommend looking on there everyday as it is updated and new cars are added.

My boyfriend was looking on this website and found a fiat which I liked, it had low mileage, was around 11miles away, and was right in my budget! I phoned the seller the next day, and he told me that someone else was going to see the car that afternoon, so I went to see it that morning and it was just like what I had seen on the picture! Brilliant! I brought the car and ive had no problems with it as yet! Touch wood!

Summary: Great website which show you a wide range of cars to choose from

I'm surprised they're surviving against the likes of eBay!
