babycentre.co.ukNewest Review: ... caught my eye - Babycentre.co.uk. The website looked clear, concise and very easy to understand. It looked full of useful information so I decided to delve further. The list of topics you could search within was immense. Everything from a conception calendar, to questions about swollen feet, cramps and midwife appointments. Any question I had, Babycentre could answer. But that wasn't ... more |

When I fell pregnant with my first son I was scared, worried and felt very alone. I was the first of my friends to have a baby, and nobody had asnwers to the questions I had. So I started to search the internet to find somewhere I could find the answers I needed. I stumbled across several baby websites, but one particularly caught my eye - Babycentre.co.uk. The website looked clear, concise and very easy to understand. It looked full of useful information so I decided to delve further. The list of topics you could search within was immense. Babycentre is a very trustworthy and sensible website with lots of interesting articles on pregnancy, birth and child care and development. I first signed up when I was pregnant and began receiving weekly emails with an update of the textbook development of my pregnancy and these continued until my baby was a year old, I think they've slowed down a bit since his first birthday but I do still get them. These are fairly short but interesting emails that I also sent to my partner as he found them more interesting than just reading a book. It is very humbling to realise that you really know very little about the ins and outs of pregnancy - for example the fact that morning sickness is a euphamism for throwing your guts up (sometimes 15 times a day for 14 weeks in my case!) My sister is pregnant too and told me about babycentre.co.uk suggesting that I sign up for the weekly emails which tell you about your pregnancy. Signing up Go to the site - click "sign up / register" and fill in your details, put in the date you are due ... Read the complete review

Babycentre is a website designed to help trying, expectant, new or not so new parents with the everyday trials of getting pregnant, being pregnant, having a baby and having a happy healthy family. It has a great resource and offers expert advice from Doctors, Midwives and other parents. The information on there is useful and varied. It is easy to join and when you add a due date for your baby or a birth date of your children your homepage when you log in will be personalised showing what to expect at that week of pregnancy or month of your child's life. They also email you the personalised webpage so you can read it from your inbox rather than goin to their ... Read the complete review

When my friend was pregnant she told be about babycentre.co.uk and how good it was. I first started using it when I was trying for my first baby. It is a very useful site taking you from preconception through to the toddler years and beyond. There are useful tools, such as an ovulation calculator (if you want and try and hit the jackpot quickly!), pregnancy calendar, and baby calendar. Once you are pregnant you can join a birth club, so you can chat with women who are due around the same time, and share the highs/lows and in betweens of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Some people chat on a daily basis, others, like me, just go on ... Read the complete review
