When I fell pregnant with my first son I was scared, worried and felt very alone. I was the first of my friends to have a baby, and nobody had asnwers to the questions I had. So I started to search the internet to find somewhere I could find the answers I needed. I stumbled across several baby websites, but one particularly caught my ... Read the complete review

Babycentre is a very trustworthy and sensible website with lots of interesting articles on pregnancy, birth and child care and development. I first signed up when I was pregnant and began receiving weekly emails with an update of the textbook development of my pregnancy and these continued until my baby was a year old, I think they've ... Being pregnant with my first baby but a grown up, educated, married woman I thought that I knew enough about pregnancy to get through it. It is very humbling to realise that you really know very little about the ins and outs of pregnancy - for example the fact that morning sickness is a euphamism for throwing your guts up (sometimes 15 ... My partner and I have decided that we may start a family soon, probably after Christmas. Not being the most health conscious of people I thought that I should get some advice about diets for mothers and fathers to be. It was while randomly Googling words connected with trying to conceive I found the babycentre. I looked at the diet of a ... Read the complete review

It's a shame after reading so much about this site it did not live up to my expectations. I noted hostility, agression and terrible moderation on many of the boards. I visited the starting solids board and was shocked and horrified regarding the advice given. One moderator suggested it was ok to feed solids to a ten week old baby despite this ... One of the first things I did after finding out I was pregnant was to search the Internet for relevant sites. I'm an information fiend. I wanted to know anything and everything that the next 9 months was going to bring. Unfortunately, that's where most of the baby sites I found stop... but not Babycentre. From day one the ... I have been visiting this website since I was about 3 months pregnant. I registered and received weekly emails relevant to my stage of pregancy. I've just visited www.babycentre.co.uk After the recommendations of it on DooYoo, well, I think it's a really good site.
