Advantages: Free, 10 grids gives 10 times to win,
Disadvantages: Prizes arent the best, annoying advertising banners everywhere
I joined this website after reading the many positive reviews of it on here. I've only been a member for about a week now and so this review comes from a newbie perspective!
WHAT IS BANANALOTTO?
Bananalotto is an online free game giving web users a chance to win up to £100,000 every day, as well as many other prizes, simply by completing daily online lottery grids. It makes it's money from the various advertising banners it displays on its website.
EASY TO USE?
From a newbies point of view, I'm finding it very easy to use. As with most websites like this, you have to register before being able to play.
The website has tabs with the following headings:
"play", "prizes", "winners"," tell a friend" and "Bananagames". These are all fairly self explanatory and make it easy to navigate around the website. Play is the main tab you'll use as this is where you'll click to access the daily lottery grids. There are 10 grids a day to complete and you can chose random numbers or pick your own. Being able to pick random numbers is particularly useful because it can get very boring picking 10 sets of numbers every day. Prizes are also clearly listed so that you know exactly what you're playing for.
POINTS AND PRIZES
The main prize on offer is £100,000 every day. To win this you have to match 5 winning numbers plus a bonus number on the 10th grid played. 6 winning numbers on game grids 1 to 9 will get you £1,000 and 6 winning numbers on the 10th game grid will bag you £10,000. It's pretty unlikely that you'll bag the top prizes but the same could be said for any lottery really and this one costs nothing to play so you have nothing to lose. 5 winning numbers on game grids 1 to 9 will win you £10, or doubled to £20 if you manage to get 5 numbers on the 10th grid.
4 or less numbers will win you points which can be redeemed for prizes. These prizes range from Banana Lotto pens and key rings to DVD's. You'll have to be patient and build up points daily because even low end prizes such as magnets will set you back 3500 points!
ADVANTAGES AND DISAVANTAGES
You have to have a lot of patience to build up enough points to redeem prizes. It means visiting and playing the 10 grids every day. This effort seems like poor compensation for a DVD or cookbook, and even these prizes require you to reach over 1,000 points which isn't easy.
There's a really annoying system of having to click on advertising banners in order to submit your numbers. You have to do this for all 10 lottery grids. As a newbie I found this system confusing and I found myself searching for a "submit" button or something. To make it worse, the banners aren't even useful or particularly interesting. It just seems to be the same 4 banners continuously and it's irritating having to keep clicking them and then closing them down straight after.
Bananlotto's biggest advantage is that it is free to play. Also, having 10 lottery grids to play each day makes you feel like you've got a really good chance of winning, or at least building up points quicker. I also play a free online lottery called Daily Pounds which only lets you enter 2 lottery grids a day making it harder to build up points.
ALTERNATIVES
http://www.dailypounds.com/index.php - Daily Pounds is another free lottery website and an alternative to Bananalotto. I play them both and enjoy them both for different reasons!
Summary: A freebie is a freebie! Even if it's only a Banana keyring or pen! Worth a try

- 12/07/09 I've been on this site for a few years now, and to be quite honest it's so tedious I've given up now. Did get a few half decent dvds off it though (although it takes about 6 months to build up enough points) :) |
