Battrick is a text based free online cricket game, now you may think at first glance this could be on of the most boring things to do ever, but you would be wrong.
Battrick is one of those games where you can spend 5 minutes a week playing or an hour a day. Your players are rated on various levels from useless to elite which is the 21st level, they are all rated in stamina (where the top level is superb) batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, concentration, consistency and fielding. They are also rated in leadership skills and experience which are important when deciding who your captain can be.

There are many parts to the game now and it has developed to include first class, one day and 2020 matches. These are all competed in a tiered league system as well as an extra cup for one day matches. To set up your team for each match you fill out a form indicating who you want your 5 bowlers to be, the order of your batsmen, your wicketkeeper, captain and the syle in which you want each player to play in.

The ground is also available to be named by yourself and can be developed to have a greater capacity when your club increases in size. Filling your ground is the best way to make money on battrick as well as training player through the nets system and selling them on through an auction style transfer market. Making money is important to develop as a club as it is needed as your players salaries increase for every level they go up.

I would recommend battrick to people who like cricket and people who like having something simple they can just dip into now and again.
