Advantages: Very informative, Appealing to all ages, Easy to use

Disadvantages: None so far

I first went onto the BBC website last year, when i was trying to find out what the weather in France was like as i was due to go shortly. Ever since i have frequently been back, the great thing is you can check the weather at any time of the day instead of either waiting to watch it at allocated times or bringing it up on text, where it doesn't seem to go into detail. I am praying that the weather may just pick up before i go to college in September. I could do with a bit of colour at the moment!

I enjoy being up to date with the events, which have occurred during the day, whether it is in the headline news or in the entertainment world, this is what first encouraged me to browse through the site. The site is clearly presented and is straightforward to use, there is a wide usage of colouring and bold Italics, which are attractive to the eye and capture ones attention. Also with the majority of news stories, and I think that this applies with the other categories, there are visuals too. Some video footage or still images. The left-hand side of the page is host to the categories, these will then take you onto another page with more detailed sub-categories surrounding the topic, you will definitely find what you need. If you want to avoid looking through a large number of articles, you can use the search function, which is an advantage.
The news on the site is frequently updated, with the option of looking at the breaking news stories.

The site is not designed for one specific age group, which is appealing; there is something for everyone. Whether it be gardening tips (which I have to say most teenagers are not interested in), Music gossip or listening to Radio 1 live, having a browse through the scenes at CBBC or grabbing ideas from Delia. After just taking my GCSE’s I would definitely recommend the education section on the site. There is a wide range of resources for all ages. There are revision sections (this was especially usef
ul for me, last revision notes and small tests were extremely helpful and showed me what I knew and what I need to.) and the opportunity for Adult learning, which I think is great.

Have I mentioned how you can keep up to date with the soaps? Well this is my next point then. If you have missed any episodes you can be filled in with what you have missed and the up and coming soap lines. You can also look inside the rest of your favourite programmes, such as the tweenies or good ol’ bob the builder….sorry my sister told me to put that down, despite the fact she is 12 years old/

If you want to find out more..about anything go and have a look on the BBC website, there really is a larger array of articles of interest for many people. The information and content of the information is the best. It is precise and very useful, a highly recommendable website. Keep up the good work BBC :)

You are absolutely right about the Beeb's vast website - it's probably one of the best in the world and is constantly updated.

In fact I've even gone so far as to e-mail the editorial department to compliment the staff on the site's quality on a previous occasion. I received a reply thanking me and expressing gratitude that their efforts were appreciated.

If you really want to enjoy a good laugh listen to some of Steve Wright's Radio 2 interviews, especially the one with Alistair McGowan, which includes his rib-tickling insight about standing in for Richard Madeley on This Morning.

You're spot on about the beeb. It's a huge resource, and easy to use.
