Bebo washed away by Facbook (bebo.com)

Advantages: keep in contact with friends, colourful profile pages

Disadvantages: random people adding you, profile started to go over the top with flashing backgrounds

Bebo is a free to sign up, social networking website. I was a member of Bebo about 3 years ago, when i first signed up i thought it was a brilliant way to keep in contact with your friends. The main things i liked about Bebo was the design of the website, user friendly, customisable profile pages in which you could choose your own background, choose your own profile picture and a wall space where your friends could write on your wall. The site also allows you to upload photos and put them into a folder such as 'party 09' which would then be accesible by your friends to see. The reason i moved away from the website is because it seemed to go a bit over the top, i kept get multiple adds a day from made up user accounts which i didn't know, the arrival of facebook which has a much more modern and userfriendly design with better features arrived, and most of my friends have no moved over there. I think Bebo is now aimed at a younger age range, and i feel alot more happy using facebook and have now deleted my Bebo account.
