Advantages: Easy to use.

Disadvantages: Not many activities.

Bebo was the first social networking site that i joined. It was mainly through friend invites that I became a member and for about two years I was an avid Bebo-er.
According to my profile I have been a member since June 2006 so it's probably the longest site I've joined and stayed tuned to.
Bebo isn't as popular as it's social site rivals Myspace and Facebook and I would say that it's mainly to do with the fact it's mostly occupied with younger teens whereas Facebook is more to do with the social event side of things.
Bebo allows users to upload pictures although it was only in recent months that it allowed people to "Tag" their friends (and themselves) in images.
Tagging simply means showing the persons name and usually a link to their profile of the person your cursor is on, in the picture.
Bebo also lets people comment each other and I have to say I think Bebos site is the easiest networking site to message friends.
Bebo have recently updated their emoticons to more modern images of facial expressions.
Bebo can let you join groups and become fans of certain pages. It also allows you to pick a person to be the other half of you although people often use their friend and sometimes relative - not just their partner.
The site lets you write friend stories showing how you met the people on your page and also has a variety of "skins" to use as background pictures to make your page look more appealing.
Bebo lets you give Love to other people (love is a heart which you add to a comment on their page) the more love you have the more popular you are apparently.
Bebo lets you take quizzes, write in your blog, draw on your aswell as other people white boards and upload videos.
I would say that bebo is the easiest networking site to use and I would recommend it for first time bloggers.

Summary: A simple net working site great for first timers.
