ordered a bed and mattress with a matching chest. Took day off work however late afternoon the day before delivery they telephone and advice the chest was never in stock and my account would be partially refunded.
Bed and mattress arrived but were terrible (parts missing, mattress was a thin layer of cheap foam etc ) however no refund has ever been made for the chest I never received.
Report them to Twickenham Trading Standards.
Absolutely shocking service! I ordered a bed with a mattress in a combined offer on 12/02. Both items were showing at their collection depot on the 13/02. The bed arrive on 19/02 without the mattress! A bed is obviously of no use without the mattress! I sent a request to see where the mattress was on 19/02 of which they said someone would be in touch shortly - I am still waiting! I have tried phoning on countless occasions holding on occasions for over half an hour and still not been able to speak to anyone, Im guessing they are dealing with a mass of complaints over there horrendous service. In their confirmation email for the order they said I would receive emails when the items where despatched or if there were any problems, surprise surprise nothing. They have now failed to delivered the mattress in there 3-5 days and failed to contact me to say there was any delays so are now in breach on contract, trading standards here I come! Do not ever order from these cowboys!
I ordered a bed and mattress from Bedroom World, which was quick and easy to do on the website! I ordered from them because they promise next day delivery (I needed next day) and because ordering the two together you get a discount. I followed their rules, ordered and received confirmation prior to 12noon, and 3 weeks later - I still have no mattress, they have even lied saying that they left me voicemails, but they haven't.
I would mention that each person I have spoken to has been friendly enough, but this is WHEN you can get through on the phone, I have left the phone calling until it rings-off many times, but the most surprising response is that I have now emailed on their complaints email address and still had no response. I have left them my mobile number, email address and order number - they have everything to get in touch with me. I have sent a total of 3 complaint emails, trying to get someone to come back to me. Very bad service, I wouldn't use them if I were you!
I am trying to cancel my order and get my money back now, I hope this works.
I bought a single bed for my 15 year old. It broke in less than a week. I have sent an email which I expect will not be replied in a hurry. I tried to phone the 0844 number but there is a 17 minute wait to start with with. I forsee this being an unhappy experience. I am going to buy another bed elsewhere. Very bad product. Not fit for purpose. Some people say you get what you pay for but if they sell a bed it should function like a bad. Shame on Bedroom World. Shame. I give one star for delivery. Even then, the package was extremely filthy when it arrived. From a very unhappy customer who will not be returning!
This is just the *worst* company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a bed and mattress from them a month ago to be delivered the day I move into a new flat. The day before, I call up to check on everything, and find that the bed isn't even in stock! and the replacement won't be able to be delivered for another 3 days! They never informed me of anything, and were going to make me take a day off work and wait around for a shipment I paid for, but was never going to arrive!NEVER use this company. Just don't.
They are the worst company I have ever had dealings with and I've done a lot of shopping online but with out doubt will never use these again. Stay away.
Unfortunately at the first time of using BedWorld to obtain a bed I've received an appalling standard of service. A number of defects within the delivery of the goods and general condition are appalling, the mattress all be it wrapped in polythene was soaking wet, the finish to the drawer leaving a jaggered edge, the drawer handle being damaged & then to find that only one out the two required bolts & washers to attach the head board to the bed is present. All in all a very unsatisfactory first attempt.
Then when speaking to your customer service operator I informed her that due to the fact I no longer have any holidays left that I'd need the defective goods collecting and replacing on a weekend to which I was informed that you only do week day deliveries.
When we selected the bed and order it the website said that new bed was IN STOCK and it let us select a day for delivery. Great start... so we requested delivery date off work to accept the delivery. Now after several emails and phone calls we have been notified the BED will not be available until LATE JANUARY!!!! This type of service is simply a joke.
What a terrible company. Ordered 2 mattresses and 2 beds on next day delivery, which we payed for that service, should have come on Thursday... I have waited in so far for seven days while they sent my order in bits, and most days didn't turn up yet again! 1 week on I am still waiting for a missing bed. They are using HDP delivery service by the looks of it they are as pathetic as bedroom world, they have just tried to tell me that they have been to my door at 4:15pm and apparently I was what they call 'carded' which is supposed to mean a card was put through my door cause I wasn't in. What a load of rubbish, there were 2 cars on the drive and was sat 5 ft away from the door at that time and prior to and after. They have lied yet again! I will be writing a blog on this company so no one has to suffer their torment anymore I am so angry and there is nothing I can do how dare they offer a service and charge us for it when they can't offer the service! I hope trading standards Stijl exists that's what I will be doing first thing Monday morning! The owners of this company are 2 very wealthy men who are not interested in giving a good service, only the money, please don't use this company and spread the word as much as you can about your awful experiences, I am going to spend as much time as I can telling of the awful service I have had!
We ordered a mattress and double bed on the 27th August- both of which were supposedly available on 48 hour delivery. Fast-forward two and a half weeks and we have a mattress but a small double bed (which took two weeks to arrive).Having rang the company on Saturday to inform them they'd sent us the incorrect item, we are still no further forward. They haven't even bothered arranging collection or delivery of the correct item. The contact between the company and their couriers appears to be non-existant. I will be telling friends and family to steer well clear of this company. Here's hoping we get a refund! Not holding my breath...
Ordered a bed and mattress from these jokers last week because they offered specific date delivery. My girlfriend and I both took the day off work so that one of us could at least pop out. They stated delivery would be between 8am and 6pm on the specified date.
Nothing had come at 4pm so we rang them to find out what had happened and they said it wasn't coming today. No communication at all just sorry you'll have to rearrange. We both lost a days annual leave and had the order changed to Saturday.
That Friday I got a text message from them saying your mattress will be delivered on Monday 16th! The bed frame came on Saturday which is obviously largely useless without a mattress. They use separate delivery companies for the two!
It's now Monday and we can't take anymore time off of work so the service which we chose for quick delivery has been so shocking that we now won't get our bed until this Saturday coming at the earliest. 9 days later than we should have received everything.
AVOID this company like the plague.

Please take my advice, do not order anything from Bedroom World. I have endless problems. Basically the bed broke a day after having it and 9 months down the line I am still waiting for a replacement. I am now sleeping on the floor as they have taken away the broken bed, but did not send the replacement as promised. I've given it a 1 star as I can't give it 0 stars.Save yourself some hassle and go anywhere but here.
We ordered a bed and mattress from bedroom world on Saturday and when i decided that night to check out their reviews i was shocked BUT to my surprise it has been a very easy and smooth transaction, no problems. I was kept up to date by e-mail about the whereabouts of both my items and they both arrived today as promised (although delivered by 2 different delivery companies) in excellent condition, matress came at 11am and bed about 4pm. Can`t fault Bedroom World, Night fright or XDP in any way.And i cant wait to get into my lovely brand new bed ...... :)
I placed an order with Bedroomworld for next day delivery on a wednesday. I was told that it would not arrive however until the friday as I had ordered at 12.50pm and noon was the cut off. This seemed fair enough, though a little annoying. So I spent all day Friday sitting indoors waiting for the order to arrive. They had said that the order would be delivered between 8am and 6pm and so I waited until 5pm when I decided to call up and ask about delivery. I was told by there customer service to call back after 6pm as the delivery may still be made. At 6pm I called back to be told that I would now not receive my "next day delivery" until the following wednesday, 7 days after the original order.
Naturally I was furious and requested that they compensate me for a wasted day, at which point they said that I would not be entitled to any discount or refund. Apparently they did have a note somewhere on the website stating that delays might occur, but at no point did they mention it to me during the course of placing my order. It was not mentioned to me at any point, and I think it is disgusting that they think they can get away with this.
I am now trying to get back a full refund, but I can only assume a company like this will drag their feet if I receive anything back at all.
I would advise anyone thinking about using this company to look elsewhere. It really isn't worth taking the chance and the anger and frustration I feel now is not something you want to deal with.
I ordered a sofa bed in July paying extra for a memory foam mattress and received on time, the bed however was damaged and not as I would expect to find, also the memory foam mattress was chopped up bits of memory foam and looked nothing like the mattress in the pictures it was 3 separate bags of little bits of foam that would give little or no support, this aside the ends of the bed were bent and damaged the cross bars did not fit there were scratches all over the frame
the mattress fell through the rungs and it was very sub-standard and clunky for a sofa bed, it took a lot of effort to pull it out as everything was bent and 2nd class all screws and bolts were cheep and nasty.
I contacted Bedroom World through there web site as directed and gained no answer, I again contacted them by e-mail and was asked to send photos,
this was done and returned to them within minutes as I had already taken pictures expecting to need them.
I heard nothing for 2 weeks, so contacted them again, apparently the photos did not get through even though I had a read receipt for the e-mail!!!
Again I re-sent the photos and heard nothing back, I contacted them through the most expensive help line, to be put through to a customer service person who needed more information like PHOTOS!!!! Again, and now my order number as he did not have the system to find it!! He gave me another number to call if I had any queries.
This was sent back to them in minuets few, and again I heard nothing I rang the number given to find it was cut off.
I e-mailed in a 2 week period 18 times for up dates and raised a new request on the web page to get nothing back!!!
Eventually I rang the order line and bugger me I got through with no problem, eventually by being very frank, I was put through to someone who would help again, apparently my e-mails had been over looked I asked if all 37 e-mails had been over looked and that no one was answering the phone, to be told yes and no comment on the phone number!
I was eventually offered £20.00 off the bed and told I could keep it
this I found most insulting and said more like £100 and you might have a start.
To be frank, no deal was made and the bed was to be picked up next monday a full 3 months after it was delivered and it takes upto 28 days from Bedroom World receiving the bed back to there base(up to a week with the courier then the 28 days!!) to get my cash back!! that's nearly 4 months later
I also had to fight to get my delivery costs back but was royal fobbed off with the phone costs (over £25.00)
My advice, bin this company pay 50 quid more and get the service and quality it might be hard to beat there price but not there service!!!
Ordered 2 mattresses and 1 bed.... next day delivery! ordered before 12 (the deadline)... 4 days later.. many many calls to them (28min wait each time at what cost!!!!)... and the courier who promises the world and nothing happens...! so day 4 now waiting in the house ... please please skip this site and try somewhere else they wont reply to emails, wont call you back.. and most important wont deliver your bed it seems!i wish i had read the reviews first.... ! trading standards and watchdog are getting a letter....! lost a day waiting at home (day 3) while i had my mother visiting... quality time ruined by this company!Pay extra and go somewhere else...
