I had never heard of Belle de Jour until the lovely Billie Piper was cast as Belle in ITV show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Absolutely blown away by the show I began to search around to see what I could find out about this character, having discovered that Belle is in fact a real person. Then, after a lot of searching, I came across the secret diary of Belle. Secret Diary of a Call Girl is a show about a call girl named Belle/Hannah. She lives two lives, her call girl live unknown to her family. I was quite surprised to discover that Belle was a genuine person, and the show was based on her real blog.
