About 6 months ago while I was surfing the Internet looking for new ways to make money as usual I came across Bepaid.com. On the site, which described bepaid, it stated ‘download this adviewer and for every ad you watch you will receive $1 - $120 an ad.’ Naturally, I went to this site and joined up. What I had to do was sign up download their adviewer and tick some boxes for their information of what ads to send me. The thought of them sending me ads which I would like because of the boxes I ticked was pretty cool, so being me I ticked all the boxes. After Download and instalment of the adviewer, I received my first ad, which was actually incredibly good. I went straight to my account to check how much I had earned. I was supposed to have between $1 and $120 for viewing that single ad but instead I had $0.25. I thought maybe just because I started I didn’t get very much so I continued with it and thought only 4 ads and I’ll get $1 which isn’t to bad and I’ll probably get loads of ads. Therefore, every time I went on the Internet I got the advison ready and I am normally on the Internet about 5 hours everyday. After a week, I had seen no more ads. I gave up with bepaid and went out once again in search for some more sites. About a month ago I went back to their site and downloaded the adviewer again to see if It would had been improved so I would see more ads. The first thing that happened when I put in on again was I got an ad! I thought excellent they have redone the site and made it so you can view ads more often. However, as usual I was wrong like always I kept it up all that night and no ads. I went to my account and I had an astonishing 50 cents after viewing 2 ads. I kept it up for the next 2 weeks and still no ads so now once again I have given it up. The one thing which really bugs me is that I don’t know if anyone else has actually made enough money and bee
n paid. If they have then I’m sure they are in a lucky minority. I wouldn’t recommend this site to anybody and my best advice is STAY AWAY. You can goto the site and download the bepaid thing if you want but you would only be wasting your own time which is what i am trying to stop you doing. My best advice would be to find some better programs out there. Paysu is better than this website and they ahve just higher their rates to 15p maximum an hour now. If anyone has actually made enough money to get paid on this site please tell me. Hope this helps you. :O)

************* UPDATE 11/5/01 ************* I just tried to visit bepaid.com and the site doesn't exist anymore. Check for yourself. ****************************************** I'm not sure that it would really serve any purpose giving you a definitive run down on the services and payouts offered by BePaid.com. You see, I have a feeling that BePaid.com is out of business (if anyone knows different please tell me). Other dooyoo writers in past reviews have told us what this company WAS all about. If you want to know you should check these reviews. It only suffices for me to say that I joined this program over a year ago, feeling as I did at the time, that it offered a fresh new approach to pay-as-you-surf marketing as compared to the plethora of cloned ad-bar style programmes. I was sure that this one would do the distance due to its innovative approach - the main selling point to me when I signed up. It required you to donwload a reasonably small programme which, when installed, would place an icon in your system tray - no intrusive ad-bars taking up a large portion of your screen. When an advert was ready to view the company would notify you by causing the icon in your system tray to flash and, for those who had sound cards, you would hear what sounded like someone knocking on the inside of your computer screen (I know it's only a little thing but I thought this was really cool!). When you clicked on your flahing icon you would get a little popup that told you what the advert was and gave you the option of whether you viewed the advert or not or to view at a later time. This style of advertising was great because it was so much less intrusive than the normal ad-bar. You could be content with using a full screen until such a time as you received an ad which you could then choose whether to watch or not. Much better than losing a good part of your viewing window to those awful ad-bars. On average, at the beginni
ng, I'd say I got between one or two adverts a day. This soon dwindled out, though. If you did choose to view the advert you would then be presented by a cool, futuristic-style tv screen which was about three times the height of an average popup window and about twice the width. You could leave the screen visible or put it behind other windows - you weren't forced to do anything you dod not want to. Within this screen you would see the advert. And what adverts they were! This is where the program had an advantage over the competitors. You actually WANTED to view the adverts because of the quality. Using the best in flash technology and design (most adverts where designed by BePaid.com themselves) you would be presented with an advert that held your attention until the end when you were given the option to click on a button to view the advertiser's homepage. The amount you would earn by clicking was always given to you aswell so you knew how much you were earning (ranging between $0.10 and $0.50). You could visit BePaid.com's website and see how much you had earned and how many adverts you had viewed and view any you had missed you could watch and get the payable amount. I often found myself going to the website just to view some of the ads again just because they were so good. (Don't call me sad! If you weren't there you won't know what I'm talking about! ;0) ). You could also set your interests so that the adverts sent to you would be tailored to your interests. This is why I don't understand why this company seems to be going under. They seemed to have the perfect solution to the current crisis facing the online ad business - adverts people actually WANTED to watch! And let's face it, few of us actually watch those adverts on the ad-bars anyway let alone click on them! (Shhhh! Don't tell the advertisers though!). We just want to get paid. I have tried many times to lo
g on to the site to find out what's going. The site is still up there although it does not see to have changed. No news of any closure yet although they are still taking registrations, no doubt for the time when it has to sell its mailing list to cut its losses - they do that you know). The main glitch is I cannot seem to log on to my members area anymore with my user name and password so I can't redeem my cash. Perhaps I should try technical support - that would be a good idea! It has been a while since I've heard the exciting sound of that little ad-man knocking on the inside of me screen telling me there is another advertising treat awaiting my undying attention. I fear he may have died, having run out of money and no longer able to feed himself. So BePaid.com, once my favourite pay-as-you-surf program, has, like so many of the other p.a.y.s. programmes out there has kicked the bucket and gone to the great ad-agency in the sky. But I'll probably sign up for the next one that offers me money for doing virtually nothing. After all, they can't all be bad can they? Right! Now where's that free lunch?.... (* NB Comments below reflect my current opinion due to BePaid.com's lack of any ads. When it was working I would have given it "excellent" for everything.)

I signed up with Bepaid.com a few months ago now, and what a complete waste of time that was! Basically you sign up with them, download your Advision Controller (like a remote control) and they send you advertisements to watch based on your interests. I have received 6 ads from them, other people who signed up the same time as me have received the same - it's pathetic. I have yet to make over 2 quid! A joke...the company is laughable. I just don't understand how they can even have the nerve to call themselves Bepaid, offering to pay people reasonable money to watch ads. Well it's most certainly Bepaid for them - right in to their own pockets. What a complete waste of time it is signing up with them....it's not like I will be getting anything out of being a member with them - it takes months and months to accumulate enough to get a cheque. In fact it actually causes you hassle to have their Advision control downloaded on your pc. From my experience, ever since i installed it on my computer it has caused it to crash, it uses up the memory and i'm sure conflicts with other programs...it's a bloody nuisance! This is what BePaid have to say... " Since day one, Bepaid.com has been diligently working to provide their members with full screen interactive advertisements. Unfortunately, today's financial market has been very unstable. This current market has forced bepaid.com to slow down its operation. Therefore, at this time users will not be receiving many advertisements from us. We hope that this situation will improve within the next few months. We have a strong faith in our concept and know that it has the potential to thrive even in an unpredictable market. Bepaid is confident that it will be able to re-launch its concept with full force. " Hardly gives you confidence in them, does it? I don't recommend anyone to join Bepaid until they start offering their members some dece
nt earnings for watching ads, and from what i can gather the future does not look bright for this companyWell guys, don't even bother to sign up with them...it certainly doesn't pay to go through all the hassle of registering with them, downloading their stupid controller (which may I add uses loads of your memory) and then not getting anything to show for it. As i said i still haven't made TWO POUNDS...there are far better sites out there that will actually send you a cheque!!! Bepaid can't even be bothered to reply to their members' emails individually! Terrible service that reflects the situation of the company as a whole. I wouldn't recommend anyone to regsiter with them as you don't get anything out of it and they are definately headed for failure!

Bepaid is not really worth visiting as I don't believe anyone will ever achieve the payout amount they set. If they set it at $10 I doubt I would ever achieve it!!!! So far in 6 months I have only received $1.40. I reallly don't see how useful that is going to be to me. They advertise that they offer up to $20 and hour, well this may be true but if they ever send an hours worth of adverts I will be surprised. After checking my account I subsequently removed the bepaid system from my computer as I find the service regretfully useless. The program uses up valuable system resources and for what? A dollar and 40 cents!!! I don't find this worthwhile at all. I hope that others have had more luck with bepaid or will do so in the future but I am for once a quitter.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

I'm surprised this company hasn't been done under the trade descriptions act or whatever the American version of that is. Anybody reading this who, like me, signed up with high expectations of this get paid to view adverts program will know what I mean by the opening sentence. For those that didn't, here's my experience of bepaid.com. It must be around a year ago now that I saw the advert for bepaid on various get paid for websites and promising a payrate of $20 and even $120 per hour. When I checked out how this worked it was explained as a new concept of online advertising, with members being paid to view targetted ads which were more like TV commercials than the usual banner adverts of other pay to surfs. To do this it was necessary to download a program called Advision, which would be used to screen the ads. Unfortunately Advision was not available for me to download when I joined bepaid and was told I would be contacted by e-mail when it was my turn. Months passed by and to be honest I'd almost forgotten about bepaid and had continued using the old favourites of AllAdvantage and the Paysu Paysstation. One day I was doing my usual daily e-mail check and was very surprised to find one from bepaid which said it was my turn to get the Advision control download. Although it is fair to say I was extremely sceptical about their advertised payrate and couldn't see how any company could ever pay this amount out, I was not going to miss the chance to give it a go now my time had come. I logged in, followed the instructions and completed the download - I now had Advision. According to bepaid my Advision control sofware would sit on my computer until an ad which suited my profile and interests was sent to me. At this point the Advision would appear in the corner of my screen to tell me that there was a commercial ready to view. I could then either view it straight away, view it a bit later or decid
e not to accept any ads for a while. Like a kid looking forward to Christmas, I waited and waited for an ad to arrive, if only to see how much it would be worth. Eventually I lost interest in it and carried on as usual until a couple of days later the Advision suddenly sprang into life. I was so surprised I nearly pressed the wrong thing on the control. To be fair to bepaid the commercial itself was OK and as stated an improvement on a simple banner ad. After viewing the commercial and allowing for time to update my account I logged in to find out whether I should ring the boss and tell him I wouldn't be in the next day. I think the amount was 17 cents! Undeterred, or should that be, underwhelmed by this I gave them the benefit of the doubt and looked forward to my next big earner but after a couple of months my statistics were:- 5 Adverts sent. 4 Adverts viewed. 1 Advert not viewed (don't remember this one) Grand Total in my account = 96 cents. After this the ads just seemed to stop coming until a couple of months ago when I had a major computer failure and had to re-install all my software. I took this as an opportunity to get rid of things which took up memory and disk space which I didn't use and did not install the bepaid Advision. When I saw bepaid.com was a category on Dooyoo it reminded me of my experience and I thought I'd do an opinion on it. Whilst writing it I logged back in to the bepaid.com site to remind me of some of the features and details and thought I'd give it another try. So I'm off back to the bepaid site now to download the Advison control once more to see if anything has changed. They say they've now got over a million members, I wonder how many have ever been paid. I also notice now that the wording says "a rate equal to no less than $20/hour and up to $120/hour depending on advertisers offers". If you convert this into £'
s and take $20 as £20, if you view a 30 second advert and get paid 20p, that is in fact an eqivalent rate of £24 per hour. Perhaps the wording always said equal to, I can't remember, maybe good old greed got in the way of common sense and I convinced myself I could get paid big money. I would be interested to know if anyone on Dooyoo has ever done OK out of bepaid, or even got enough to get paid by them. I've read a few reviews which tell a similar tale to mine and I'm looking forward to updating this review with good news from my second bepaid experience.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

------ UPDATE ------ After a month of waiting and receiving no further ads I finally decided to uninstall the Bepaid program. I didn't close my account, you never know when a company like this will come good and make people some money. At the moment I can't recommend Bepaid to anyone, it doesn't offer you any ads so you can't make money from it, and lets face it; the only reason people watch ads is to get paid for it! Bepaid announced earlier in January that they were scaling down operations, reducing the number of ads sent due to lack of advertiser interest. I fail to see how they can scale down zero adverts any further, but I do have a theory on the whole shambles. Bepaid receive money for all the ads they show, which is how they can afford to pay us to watch them. Thing is, they haven't shown enough ads for anyone to get paid, therefore all those 80p's sitting in peoples accounts is Bepaids to keep, so despite the fact that the venture has failed badly they will come out of it with a fair whack of money. The thing is, did they plan this to happen? They could have easily started up with the plan to give up ASAP and pocket a fortune. Still the internet ads market is on a BIG downwards spiral, all over the web pay to surf companies are reducing their hourly rate, so maybe Bepaid has just been a victim of the general industry decline. Depends how ruthless you think these net companies are I guess!! --------------------------------------------- Bepaid is a pay to surf company with a difference, rather than display ads non stop in a bar bepaid sends ads in intervals, in the form of a shockwave video. These ads vary in length, as does the money you recieve for viewing it. Apparently you can recieve anything up to $2 per ad but none of mine so far have paid more than 30 cents. That is of course the ads I have recieved. Herein lies bepaid's biggest problem, there just aren'
;t enough ads to watch. I recieved 3 ads in the first hour of use, but that was over a week ago and I have recieved no more since then. Two of these ads were from bepaid itself, and the other from an internet telephone company. The three ads made me about 70 cents, roughly 50p. These ads only took about 2 minutes to watch in total, so it is a good rate of pay but if you never get any ads to watch then its all a bit pointless. To use bepaid you need to download a program that sits in the system tray, the download is around 1.5Mb so doesn't take too long, although it is just another program that runs permanently and gobbles up resources. When an advert is available you are told the length and the money you will recieve for watching it, then you can choose to watch in now, watch it later or not to watch it at all. Not that there'll be so many that you ever get sick of them. They pay you when you reach $20 (they do send checks in pounds sterling), which is a reasonable amount (although god knows how long it'll take to reach it, or if I even last that long without dying of waiting!). The ads are also tailored to your interests which means that the few ads you receive will at least be of some small relevance to you. By clicking on the link that comes with the ad you can gain yourself an extra 10 cents, which is worth it just to try and reach that $20 mark and get a cheque. If you don't already use a pay to surf company like Surf Miles or Paysu then I would recommend starting up with one of them, they pay roughly 30p per hour guaranteed and if you don't mind having the ad bars visible you can run as many bars from different companies as you like. You will certainly make more from this method although running the bepaid program is painless and you only see it when there is an ad to be viewed. Overall Bepaid is a great idea, but one that is seriously let down by a lack of ads. If more ads are added th
en it should become a good money maker. in its defense I did read the e-mail they sent and apparently they are a fairly new company, and they plan to add more ads as they go. As they say, only time will tell.......

If you want to make your fortune by next millenium go to bepaid.com and sign up. You certainly won't get rich in your life time though. I signed up and downloaded the software. All you have to do is to watch ads while you are surfing and it says you can earn $2 per hour. I thought that would be easy. However, I've been running bepaid for two weeks now and there have only been four ads. I have earned 36 cents. For length of time I've been online to earn this its a very expensive exercise. This is just not worth bothering with. Save you energy and try one of the schemes that actually works and pays you. There are lots discussed on Dooyoo but I've found Beenz and Mailround to be quite good and they both pay.

Be Paid.com promises you over 20 dollars in one hour, just for surfing the net. They are different to the rest of the competetion as they do not have a 'Vievbar' but they have a program which alerts you when an advert is coming. The advert is put in a new window and the advert is made using Macromedia Flash. This is all good, but are there any adverts? The answer is around 1 every 2 months. So far, I have earnt less than a dollar in about 6 months. Also, the software is extremely buggy. Overall, forget them, stick to the good old Viewbars.

Over the past couple of years I have looked at numerous different programs offering an income from the internet, Bepaid was one of them. The first time I encountered Bepaid they were claiming rates of pay greater than most full time employments offer. Naturally I did not consider this to be realistic, but I enrolled anyway and awaited launch of the program. Like many programs before, the launch date was repeatedly postponed with claims of having to iron out minor details and so forth. Finally I was notified that the launch was here and invited to download the software. Once installed I was shown a single advert for Bepaid itself, with no other offers yet available. I allowed the software to run in the background while I was online for several weeks, until finally I gave up altogether and uninstalled the program. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that despite all the claims and hype from the company, Bepaid will simply drift into oblivion like so many of it's predecessors.

This program has been in the works for over a year now, and a fornight ago I was invited by the company to download my advision program. They promise you that you will make $20 - $120 and hour! You would have have to be stupid not to sign up no?? NO you would have to be stupid to believe them. I am ashamed of myself that i was stupid enough to believe this. I have had the software for a fortnight, and i have been shown two 30 second adverts, and have earned a whopping 25 cents!!!! Advantages

                    Disadvantages

I joined up with bepaid several months ago and thought, like many others, it was a great way to be paid for looking at personalised adverts. The only problem is that I rarely get the chance to look at them. To date, after approx 3 months membership, I have received and viewed 3 adverts earning me a total of 34 cents! The little icon is very unobtrusive and does not interfere in any way with surfing the net, working on my PC. However I am sooooo disappointed - the ads I did see where eyecatching and interesting - but where have they gone to??? I live in hope that things will improve.

I am writing here about 'Bepaid'. I've joined many 'surf for cash', 'paid to surf', call it what you like, programs over the past 2 years. I joined Bepaid in January 2000. At the time they were saying how big it was going to be and that you would be earning at least $20 an hour. They first said you could download the 'Advision' on 15th May. That got put back and I had to wait over a month before I could download it. In the time I was a member I managed to get about 15 referals and so I thought I was going to be raking in the cash. I eventually got the 'Advision' and have still got it now. The grand total I have earned so far is $1.13. I have had the 'Advision' for over 6 months now and only earned $1.13. I will have to wait and see if it picks up but....$20 an hour? don't make me laugh.

                    Disadvantages

I joined BePaid after they claimed to be able to pay a minimum of $20-$160/hour for watching ads. So did many others, they were getting over 20,000 signups/day and ended up with well over 10,000,000 signups when they went live. However, weren't we all disappionted when we got a 10 second long ad and got paid 10 cents! But what about $160/hour? Well, work it out! 10 cents x 6 (= 1 minute) = 60 cents, 60 cents x 60 (= 1 hour) $36/hour but that'd take us forever to get with the amount of ads we get! It's just yet another internet rip-off!
