Blartly is a new site, which advertises itself as the first shopping and instant giveaway site on the internet.

It is split into several sections including gifts, Travel, fashion. games and entertainment.

It is very slow to navigate as products are just displayed in long lists, with only about 6 items on each page. Next to a few items on each page is a "win " icon if you click on this you will be taken to a further page and unless you are very lucky you will be told " sorry, but try again in an hour.

The star prizes at the moment are a Playstation, a £400 holiday voucher, a £300 holiday break, and a £15 wine voucher.

As a site for freebies I rate this site poorly, as it can take up a lot of your time. You do get points for visiting different pages or telling your friends, but I cant find any value given to the points as of yet.

As a site for shopping, I would have no reason to need to visit blartly at all, it is easier and quicker to go to a more established site like shopsmart or blue carrots, which link you to loads of rated sites.

UPDATE, JULY 19th

since I wrote this review I received an Email news letter stating that Blartly was sorry about the speed of the site, and hadn't expected so much interest. I went to have another look and to my utter disbelief I won a playstation!!!!


UPDATE, AUGUST 11th

The Playstation arrived at my house this morning, with an apology for its late delivery. Since the last update I was also lucky enough to win a National Parks CD Rom, which arrived 2 days after winning it.

UPDATE 14th SEPTEMBER

Over the last week Blartly has speeded up considerably, and I never have to wait long at all. They have also added prize draws, including one for a car, and one for £2000. These might be worth entering.

The point value seems to have appeared. You can change 50,000 of them for a £5 Amazon voucher. It has ta
ken me ages to amass 12567 points, so at this rate it would take me 6 months to claim a voucher that has previously been given away in magazines like the Radio Times. ... (Hardly worth getting excited about!)
