I few weeks ago I had the crazy notion that I wanted to start my own blog. I love reading other peoples blogs and I believe that it is a brilliant way to inform people and to get your voice heard. The reason that I never started one before, is because I didn't know how to go bout creating one. So I began to research blogs and found the website blogspot.com.
I can honestly say that it was so very easy setting my blog up. The site takes you step by step, to create your blog and create it to how you want it. You are able to choose the colour and background of your blog, as well as the layout of it. What I really love about this blog site, is that you can very easily upload photos and videos, to go along with your posts.
Once you have found a certain topic to write about, or may 'be you are going to blog about anything at pops into your head, then you just click the publish button below where you have typed your blog and it is done. After that you will be to see that your post has been upload and is now able to view by anyone. It is very easy to see how many people have visited your blog and also where they are from. This for me is very exciting, maybe I do need to get out more, but just think that someone in another country read the post you wrote is quite pleasing.
Also on your blog you will be able to see how many people are follow your blog. And for me this is no one (yet!) But of course it is early days and I do think that it is going to take a while to get going. But for me that is why I am doing it. It is kind of like a project that it going to take a bit of time and hard work on your behalf.
Now my blog is going to contain, everything from movie, book and T.V show reviews, but also some random blogs about everything and anything. But what you want to blog about is completely up to you, so if you want to blog about the new pair of socks you just bought, then you can! (Not that you would really want to...)
My blog is only in it's early stages, but I think it is something I will enjoy doing for a very long time. Even though I don't have any followers :( , I really enjoy putting up my posts and will defiantly continue to do so.
I would defiantly recommend using this site if you want to create a blog. And for those who think that creating your own is difficult, then try this website, because is totally simple to create your blog.
Here is the link for the blog site : http://www.blogger.com
And here is the link for my blog ( remember it is in the very early stages) :
Not owning a computer or understanding anything about technology I never imagined that I would be able to create my own blog but only this week under the influence of meths and following a series of arguments with Vinegar Jenny, Monkey Peter demanded that I assist him in creating one.
We went to Cuddlin Erics house and whilst Peter had the obligatory cuddle I logged on to his (stolen) lap top and searched the interweb for an easy to use blogging site. The first one I found wouldn'y allow me to set up a site due to the perversity of my chosen password but I moved on and soon found blogspot.com.
It was really easy to set up my own blog page, all I needed was a googlemail e-mail address, (I borrowed yours, hope you don't mind) and then gave it a title. I did a few other really simple bits but due to all the drugs taht were racing thru my system at this point I can't tell you exactly what though it may have involved a smurf, some swarfega and an autographed polaroid of Kenny Everett.
Anyway, it was so easy that in the time it took Eric to welcome Peter with a cuddle I had set one up. However by this time Peter had forgotten why we were there and begged me to put his leash back on and take him home. I posted a very quick first entry and then left.
Today I have been back on the site all excited to see how many followers I now have, all waiting to hang upon my every word.....
There's not a single bugger daft enough....
Still, it was easy to do so I can't fault the site.
To see how easy it is to use go to www.blogspot.com and if you're daft feel free to check out my blog (pertabacus.blogspot.com) and if you're completely mental pop round to Erics, endure a 62 minute cuddle and then borrow his laptop, just make sure you give it a wipe as I was eating a kebab when I used it.
In 2nd year of university we had to create a blog. I study at an art college and they encouraged each student to create a blog to reflect on designers, discuss issues and concepts and review exhibitions and pieces of work. This was really tedious at first but it got me easy marks as part of my development work, and on the plus side it saved paper (and time walking into college to hand something in!)
I remember that it was fairly easy to set up an account and get started but often experience slow uploads when adding images which can be annoying on an art blog!
Recently I have begun contacting companies for potential employment and placements and decided that it would be easier to use my blog as an online mini portfolio for quickly getting my ideas across to companies (until I have time to do a website when my degree comes to an end).
Returning to the site was easy, I had forgotten my password but was emailed a reminder within seconds and away I was. I am no expert on making my blog look professional, but for my needs I find Blogspot very easy to navigate.
You can upload images, create a profile about yourself, and easily tell the world your thoughts in a few easy steps.
I started my adventure with blogger about 3 years ago. I've had a lot of blogs on other websites, none was enough perfect for me so I've searched something what suits me in 100%. And finally I found everything what I need in this website.
Blogger is easy way to create your own, personalized space in web. You can create few blogs using one login. I don't know how many but I have 3 ;)
You can make your own personalized template using HTML but if you don't know HTML nothing is lost, you can still find template prepared by someone which describes you the most.
Then you can add some gadgets to your blog. It can be slideshow, music player, visit counter or flag counter (it shows how many people and from which country visited you).
In my opinion another very useful thing is Ad Sense (you can earn money by displaying advertisings with match to your blog). I can't understand exactly how it works but I hope that it help be become a millionaire soon!
One of gadget is aplication where are displayed people who watch your blog. That's nice to be in contarct with your readers.
And finally - writting posts.
It's really fast and easy. You can write style of writting - normally or in HTML. To make your blog more interesting, you can add some photos or videos to your posts.
I think that blogs on blogger.com looks very clearly and you can find what you need with ease.
Happy blogging then! ;)
