Advantages: ad-free, navigation is great, slick, simple site desing
Disadvantages: still growing, small, community a bit empty
First of all: "webvertising" sucks! Don't you hate it when they throw their pop-up's and -under's around like crazy? On my search to find a quiet place (and well behaving in terms of spamming and bothering ads) I ran into BlueBall (listed in Yahoo! Portal section, this is how I found them). I have to disagree with the other review here, maybe they had changed quite some stuff in the meantime too. BlueBall is refreshign different from all the rest: no advertising at the site, no pop-up's or -under's while surfing. No idea how they make money, but it's really tru, no ads! The structure is really clear and navigation a snap. You can find tons of content there like reviews (links to Epinions), discount shopping, a huge mall, portal-like category sites, free eMail (love that one, absolutely unbothered by ads, no banners, no nothing!) and much more. On their second site blueballweb.net they feature tons of free stuff like downloads, horoscopes and such. Whenever it is enough with clicking all pop-up's away I go there for an hour or two and feel free as can be, this is how the Internet was thought up I guess...a long time ago. Love it and give two thumbs up!
