Carrots are good for you and Blue Carrots are not too bad either although I prefer the orange kind. When this site first came up they offered new members shares in the company as an incentive to join them. However in recent times they sent out an email informing all shareholders (members) that they had yet to float these shares due to the current business situation in the online industry and therefore at the moment they were not worth anything. I wasn’t to disappointed though as I have seen many such similar offers and never really expected too much anyway. Don’t expect too much from your shares, as I doubt they would ever float them. ... Sorry to be a party pooper and all but, I think the blue carrot must be decidedly withered or ridden with bite holes by now. Now call me an OAP, but I signed up with these guys along with six other sites about two years ago and seen the sites either vanish or my share allocation be invalidated for some reason or the other. Fair enough - There is no such thing as a free lunch, and with these "Breakfast" sites - ie. 1st thing you log into, lots of simple things to enter or read, BUT Do you want to go on doing the dilligent thing and login just in hope that one day the shares may be listed. Both themutual.net and totalise.co.uk came up ... Read the complete review

Bluecarrots the cute and cuddly sounding site was launched as a ‘Users Portal’ offering free shares and cashback on purchases through it’s online partners. That, however, was back in the days of spiralling valuations for internet stocks – the days when putting dot com in the name of your business brought investors flooding to your door waving wads of cash and the internet seemed like the surest one way bet the world had seen. Well, don't I look a total dingbat! No, I'm not referring to the fact that Lucy always pulls the ball away from me just as I'm about to kick it, I'm referring to the fact that I was persuaded to join Blue Carrots last week thinking I could be making myself a bit of free money. Blue Carrots have been around for nearly two years now, and so, in terms of giving away shares in their company in return for loyalty, they were one of the first companies to launch on the net with this idea. The concept is simple, you register on the site and get 1000 free shares. You don't need to shop at the site, or give them money. Something for nothing, and we ... Read the complete review

...and don't sign up for them. I joined on a personal recommendation (!) and the only reason I've not quit is that I'm too lazy. The frequency of "outages" (times when no internet access is available) is not acceptable, but is made worse when combined with unreliable software. * The install CD they sent me was corrupt * I've spent about £50 on premium rate calls to their helpline. When I tried to cut short the 14th person I heard say "Hello and welcome to Bluecarrots, your call is being recorded and charged at £1986.35 a minute" (or whatever) he hung up on me in a tiff. * Every so often, for some ...
