“ A site that lists a whole load of links to humorous pages. Some may not be suitable for small children. „
You're sitting around, with nothing else to do, where do you go? To the very creatively named 'bored.com' where you can attend to all your boredom needs or at least some of them for a little while.
The site has various sections to help cure boredom which include:
Games - Lots of simple games that you can play for free. Most of them are very basic games such as use a bouncy line to get a ball from one place to another. Some games have a little more detail and there are some addictive ones.
Humour - various links to other websites containing jokes and other various things. Looking at stupid laws is one of my favourite things.
Quizzes - there also various quizzes and puzzles which you take. Just like the jokes, these open up another window to a different website.
Overall, it can be quite a fun website to visit, but it eventually becomes a little boring itself. There's decent variety in the things available to do. Basically it just groups all the stuff you would find floating around Google pages into one website, which is easy to use and doesn't take too long to do what you ask it to.
I was so bored around 6 years ago (i had time to be bored then i wasnt a mum lol) and was typing silly things into the search engine, even that was starting to bore me so i just typed in bored.com and was amazed to find what a good site i found. Don't get me wrong this site is full of pointless things but when you really are bored the stupid games and websites it has links for are fun ............... but you do need to be bored or really immature (i do get the odd immature moment at night when the kids are in bed :-) lol). I probably wouldnt recommend this site for young or impressionable children as there is some adult humour on here and also things like killing stickmen and shooting something or other using a variety of guns which i personally would not want a young child playin. Also it seems like there are a few scams on here now, you know the kind of thing where joe blogs earns x amount of money a month but for this low one off fee he will tell you exactly how he does it. No thank you
This entertaining site offering lots of stuff to do is a great way to while away the hours on a wet day. Offering games, links, videos and articles youll never be bored at bored.com.
The first thing you see on the site is the games section which offeres hundreds maybe thousands of browser based game which could entertain you for hours. Most of a high quality standard, very entertaining, a real competitor to the legendary miniclip.com.
The second link is for videos now this isnt just like youtube with videos of peoples pets it offers some of the best funny videos around hand picked by the staff at bored.com to keep you entertained.
Another great section of the site is the fun section which links you to site where you can obviously have fun. Again all these links are hand picked and offer a great way to find a new website.
Overall a great site to check out when you are bored
just the thing to type into your computer when you just want something to do, when you get to that point where your saying to your friends: "Bored, what you up to?"
You just really need something to amuse you.
Now the 1st thing you'll notice unless you have a pop up blocker all the pop ups and adverts. But they have updated it, and there's a few things to do on there now, such as: Games, Making money (altho dooyoo is the best), and some just totally random things to do on it. Theres also a thing called, trick like, and its just a link, but is shows you how to do stuff such as: change a tyre and little computing tips. Altho on nearly everything you do you get a pop up!
There's also stupid little thing, like type a word and you letter will come up in letter blocks.
Overall, its useless stuff, well some useful aswel, to do when you've got 5 mins.
We have all done it, sat bored on the computer wondering what we could do (this is before we found dooyoo of course). I remember typing in Google BORED!!! And the top result was bored.com. A great name really because I bet a number of people have done exactly what I did and stumbled across this website.
Bored.com has almost anything to keep you satisfied whether you are at work or home. The website has games, quizzes, pictures, videos, music and random information that we all secretly like to know about.
Bored.com is free to use but some of the games do requite Java so you will need to download this feature if you wish to play the games.
The only thing that annoys me about this website is that they are sponsored by the smiley logo's people, they say "hello" to you all the time and therefore I always put my speaker on mute, which is very very annoying when you're trying to play a technical (haha) game.
One of my favourite games on this website is rollercoaster designer. This allows you to design your own roller coaster ride and have people go on it. It is quite complicated really as you must do it so the ride does not come of the track.
Absolutely tonnes to do on this website - give it a go!
If you're feeling a little bored and can't even manage to satisfy your frustration through your internet connection, then why not take a look at bored.com. This is a simple little site which is basically just made up of links to other interesting sites, some of them are owned by bored.com and make up the bored.com network, some aren't.
You do get a few pop-ups on the website, but they have all been safe so far and there is no adware or spyware on the site itself, though I would recommend being careful about some of the sites that the links take you to.
There are plenty of categories to choose from on the main home page, so there should be plenty to keep you occupied. Videos, music, games, romance, humour, fun quizzes and trivia and make money are just a few examples of the categories listed on the site.
All together there are thirteen different categories with approximately 20 - 25 website links listed in each category, so there should be plenty to keep you entertained. Some of the links are adult orientated, so I would recommend you keep a close eye on your children if you allow them to use the site.
The most interesting website that I have discovered through bored.com, which is part of the bored.com network, it Wallstreetpros.com. This is a simple online virtual stock exchange game, where the winner wins $100 in real money every week.
Whether you're just curious, bored or looking for something different to do, bored.com should provide you with a few hours of entertainment at least.
"I'm bored', whined my daughter, as thirteen year olds are wont to do. Resisting the temptation to deliver the usual, 'when I was your age we couldn't afford to be bored and we had to live on bread and lard' etc., I told her to use her imagination instead. Not much more use than the speech, I admit. However, the result of this was, she promptly typed 'I'm bored', into Google. Up came a selection of pages containing, conspicuously, Bored.com. So we went and had a look! The first thing of note here is that this is a links page. This means it is made up of a collection of 'links' to other pages. There are well over a hundred, so I won't list them all or we'll be here all day. I'll just mention some of the ones I liked and then try and give you an overview. Some of these pages are worthy of an op of their own. I'd like to point out here, that although Bored.com seems to be a UK site (well, it's got an advert for Lotto!), a lot of the pages are American orientated. This means any prices etc. are generally in Dollars or whatever. This doesn't worry me, because I wasn't going to buy anything anyway and I like to stick to the British sites when it comes to competitions and earning possibilities. Don't be put off visiting sites because of this. There are plenty, which are funny and appealing regardless! ChickenJoke.com Why did the chicken cross the road? Here are some famous likely responses from George 'Dubya' Bush to Plato to Mulder and Scully. Well worth a look, though once you've seen it, you've seen it! CyberFireworks.com Another likely 'once only' site! Make your own virtual firework displays against a range of backdrops, complete with sound effects. My favourite one was the Grand Canyon, but I grew bored with it fairly quickly. The picture was quite small as well, though the colours were nice! Stupid Videos One
of the best ones, this! The pictures are very small, the picture quality is abysmal and the sound is appalling! It doesn't matter! It's still one of the funniest sites I've come across. Some of the videos are obviously from the general public, while some are from various 'round the world' adverts. Some are beyond description. You won't find them all funny, but since they don't take that long to load, you won't mind. For those, (of us), with a cruel streak, there's the householder hiding in the dustbin to frighten the bin-men. And he did! One of the stupidest has to be 'Evil Penguin', followed by 'Evil Penguin 2' which had me laughing out loud. Something for everyone here! GoodQuotes.com A wide selection of quotes, mis-quotes, silly proverbs, 'misc' quotes, celebrity quotes and 'bumper stickers' etc. Most aimed at raising a smile, rather than laughter. Occasional words of wisdom, but you'll probably head for the funny ones first. DancingBush.com Bush the party animal. And you get to pull the strings! Well, press the buttons at least. It's funny, but once is likely to be enough. Virtual Bubble Wrap It is what it says. Click on the bubbles and hear them pop. This is oddly therapeutic. You can choose bigger bubbles to pop, but the pop doesn't sound right on these. It's fun, but the real thing is still best! Great if you don't have any real bubble wrap handy though! TimeLab 2000 One minute history lessons. More along the lines of 'curious facts you didn't know' really. Reasonably interesting and thought provoking. Urban Legends All those strange stories that regularly do the rounds must have some basis in truth mustn't they? Maybe! Maybe not! Here's the place to find out. And there's a wide range to choose from. The zoo keeper killed by an elephant with diarrhoea plus accompanying picture will ei
ther have you in stitches, or put you off your tea. Possibly both. Is it true? Of course it isn't, but you'll have to find out why for yourselves! Plenty of non gross ones as well, but somehow the gross ones are more fun! Useless Information Nuff said! There are also crosswords, horoscopes, some games and various prize sites, though these tend to be the aforementioned American ones. There's a handful of Bored.com's own pages including Bored radio. Anagrams aplenty on one site, though I failed to see the attraction of that one, personally. The selection available is fairly wide, but you'll soon disregard the ones that are of no interest. Each link comes with a brief description of the site it leads to and on the whole these give a fair representation of what the site is going to be like. There is something for all ages, but you should probably supervise younger children, as some sites may be deemed unsuitable. Adverts! Not as bad as you'd expect! It depends on which site you visit of course, but I expected a barrage and instead only got a smattering. The occasional pop-up rears its ugly head, but for the most part the ads are of the banner variety. Well worth the effort of spending a few hours in the pursuit of the completely pointless! I liked it!
It's not often I find a site that really grabs my attention. Surfing through endless pages of drivel, wracked with BOREDom I came across a website relating to that emotion we all hate and experience more than anything. Bored.com is simply a site full to the brim of sites. "Links to the most interesting sites on the internet" it boasts, but does it live up to its slogan? It sure does, here there really is something for everyone; The homepage has over 200 links to "the most interesting" sites I've ever found on the internet, without typing in "Fun sites", "things to do", it's all here! An example of a site found on the homepage is OxymoronList.com (it is what it is, a HUGE list of oxymorons, sad but immensely entertaining!) Romance If you're loved-up and looking for romance or advice in the lurv area there is a selection of websites just for that, including the LoveCalculator.com, calculating the probability of success in a relationship by using two people's names. Music Sites in here are from playing virtual pianos, to downloading MP3's from sites such as MP3.com. Movies Movie mayhem: A bonanza of sites, from getting scoop about the latest and upcoming flicks, to Movie Bloopers Online (which is what it says, this site is dumb but strangely addictive) Fun Stuff Fun stuff! Need I say more? This is pretty much miscellaneous, and again pretty much dumb, but you'll be sure to find something in here that you're going to love. A good example is HabboHotel.com a virtual world in a "hotel" in virtual britain, you pick your own little character to represent you, then choose from various rooms to chat and make friends. Quizzes and trivia I'm obsessed with this. Trivia... All those brain-teasers and questions on the topic of your choice.. Go there, go there now! Other catergories include: Extrem
e Sports Dumb Stuff Just Plain Weird Free Stuff Cool Contests Paid to Play Humour Mmm a feast of exciting websites to visit. I think this site is good for the young, or those men and women that just don't want to grow up! Avoid the toilet humour sites - unless you find gags that a five year old would love. A personal favourite of mine is dancingbush.com, isn't it great seeing George boogie on down?
Got nothing better to do then why not visit Bored.com and get an incredible selection of links to some of the most interesting sites around. Bored.com are available at www.bored.com. The homepage consists basically of hundred of links to websites that provide a wide range of content some of which is extremely amusing and entertaining. You can either sift through all the links on the homepage or you can simplify your search by selecting a category. The links for these categories run down the left hand side of the homepage. All links provided are for free services or information. They even have links for “get paid” sites and the likes. The listings are quite comprehensive as mentioned previously. One example is today the first link on the website is for: www.dancingbush.com, which when clicked will download a funny video clip of George Bush dancing. You can select seven different dance moves and add spotlights, disco lights and a dance floor. All this whilst disco music is going on in the background. You see George in his tux performing all these dance moves to perfection. My son had a real great laugh at this one. Bored.com even offer you a free email service with the unique address of; email@example.com. Not a name that would easily be forgotten. Other sections available on this site include; Free website where you can create your own free homepage, Video Games where you can play some online games for free, Horoscopes, Crosswords and T-Shirts are the other sections available. I was quite impressed with the site and therefore had to use the “Refer A Friend” link available so that my friends could see the “George Bush Dance”. Overall a lovely little site to go to if your bored as you will most certainly find something to keep you busy or amused from the huge selection.
Well as you can probably guess i was bored when i went to this site, but after i came off the site with a big grin on my face with many links to top notch humour sites many new ones added each week of course it has to be worth a visit! Bored.com-When you goto the page you are presented with a home page which has all the top links on to the most humourus pages on the web ranging from interesting pranks to play on people to video clips of bloopers, funny animations, you can even find links to things such as movie script pages, some of the sites on the site are pretty sad and dull but only a few. My favirite one so far is probably the page which has paradies (micky takes) of Britney Spears, Hear'Say and more, it is really funny. As well as a list of humourus links you can sign up to bored.com e-mail service or send a link to bored.com to a mate, or you can look at a list of online votes,if you are real bored and are feeling adventurus there is even a video games section on the site, the funny thing is you can even buyBored.com T-Shirts (made me laugh) I mean who buys this stuff? Basically, bored.com is just a long list of sites to look at when your completly and utterly bored. It saves having to search the net for something to do as all tastes are catered for here. As well as the main list of sites there are category listings for things such as humour, wierd, games. You are almost certain to find something to amuse yourself with somewhere on this site. Whether its testing your reaction time, or setting up a lemonade stand, or listening to music, or reading stories, or playing games. You'll find all these and literally hundreds more at bored.com. It's constantly being updated so there is always new things to try and do. A supurb site to pass the hours away.
Bored.com is a great website for finding entertaining and funny websites for "when you have nothing better to do". Basically the website is like a "best of the web" site providing links to the most interesting websites on the internet. The site design is fairly simple and I think the fact that its not too complex or cluttered works well for a site like this. I've actually visited this site quite a few times and it seems that new content, e.g. more interesting sites, are added all the time, so there is always something new to check out. The website has a navigation column on the left hand side of the site providing quick links to different categories of interesting sites to visit. The categories are: * Music * Games * Romance * Humor * Free Stuff * Nutty News * Just Plain Weird * Dumb Sites * Fun Stuff * Quizzes & Trivia * Paid to Play * Cool Contests * Movies *Extreme Sports --Conclusion-- Bored.com is a good, simple site providing links to interesting websites, some of which have some great content. Next time your bored, e.g. at work, check it out... An average site / 3 stars Thanks for reading, by dooyooexpert.
I really should spend more time studying and less time interneting. But I can never seem to stop, especially now I have unlimited internet access. But, there's one problem with the 'net. I'm not denying that there are things to do, but often, those things don't really take your fancy and you do tend to get a little well... dare I say it... Bored! So, there's a simple solution to that. www.bored.com Which I'm sure everyone has heard of by now, but I'm not to sure about whether everyone has visited. The basic idea of bored.com, is to give links to people who can't find anything to do on the internet. Some links are actually quite interesting, such as one that sends you to a site that converts text to speech although there are some which do get a bit annoying, in other words the links lead you to dead ends! However, there are a few problems that I have found with bored.com, such as slow loading and also new sites aren't put on all that often, so the site does tend to get a bit Boring, the complete opposite of what it should be. Another problem, is that the site is American (not a problem for Americans though!), this is bad because a lot of the links are sites which are used to make money, therefore dollars are used, and there are some sites, such as the calorie counting sites and recipe sites use American weights and measurements. But overall, the site is OK i suppose, perhaps not for everyday use, but maybe for once in a while, or that time that you don't spend on Dooyoo! Nathan Jake Robinson.
Thanks to Bored.com, I know when I'm gonna die! Bored.com is the site I go to whenever I have nothing to do on the net. It is often updated and has the links to the most interesting and amusing sites. The site is a list of many different links where you can interact, play games, watch videos, read jokes etc... You can listen to the radio as you browse and many other things. Bored.com has a few bad things about it. It looks pretty cheap, but its quick, due to no groovy graphics to slow it down. Among all the amusing links are many boring things which you have to skip through. You should check out bored.com if... 1) You want to find out when you're gonna die (The Death Clock) 2) You know someone who deserves a Virtual Insult 3) You like farts 4) You are dying to know what your phone number spells 5) You like to take IQ tests and funny quizzes 6) You like to be baffled by Optical Illusions 7) You need to know lyrics to a song 8) You want to learn Pig Latin 9) You like to sing karaoke (on your own to a computer screen) 10) You want to play a game where you are this lemonade seller and you have to change the amount of lemon, ice and sugar to make the people like it more in different... Just check it out!
As a person whos most used catchphrase is "I'm bored" I found this site entertained me for hours!! OK, so I was supposed to be revising for my GCSE's at the time but hey, who cares about that? The tagline for the site is "When you have nothing better to do" links to the most interesting sites on the internet! I'm not sure if they should really be described as the most interesting sites on the internet but they do keep you entertained for a while. One one the links is to emode which is a fantastic site which has thousands of quizzes. I sat for over an hour just doing stupid quizzes (like 'What kind of flirt are you?' and 'What breed of dog are you?'). This site is definately worth checking out, not if your looking for the most interesting sites on the web, but more if you're looking for a time waster. Another of the links is to The nutrition calculator which is pretty cool. You enter the name of any food and it comes up witht the nutritional information for you (hey, it amused me). Also with links to freebies, cyber pets and loads of other sites that can help you waste your time.
