One of the common things that happens when someone gets ME (or come to mention it other chronic illnesses) is they become isolated, friends can move on and those who do keep in touch are unable to understand what it is like to try and function when feeling so ill.

Brainfog is a little haven for people with ME to come together and chat, there is a forum which is the most popular part of the site and which I've made several friends through. There is also a chat room with scheduled and moderated chats, and gatherings for those well enough to attend.

It was set up by someone with ME and is run by volunteers who want to make a difference to other people with ME. Its called Brainfog as ME affects peoples cognitive function and sufferers often refer to the symptom as having "brainfog" or thinking through a fog.
