Advantages: free, many features, fast
Disadvantages: no support, limited to 500MB bandwidth a month
If you are looking for a server to host your website for free and are fed-up with banners or popup windows appearing then brinkster.com is the server for you.
The site gives a strong and lasting impression of professionalism. With services that range from simple website host through to ASp SQL and Mircosoft frontpage this server is possibly the best around.
There are six different types of account ranging from $99.95 a month with a $59.95 setup charge to a free service.
Not all of the features are available with a free account. But the features that are available are delivered through a very user friendly web-based interface.
Features that are available with a free account are as follows:

When you think of all these services that are offered for free of charge and there are no banners or pop up windows you can wonder why people use alternative servers.
There is the one disadvantage that there is only a basic web space size of 30MB but that is quite a lot for a web site.
+ if more space is needed then you can just open more than one account with them and split the web site over multiple user accounts ;)
The support offered by the brinkster team with the free accounts is non existant i believe but this site isnt provided for those who cant yet use HTML or javascript on there own.
The site does offer a 'code bank' section that h
olds multiple library code snippets in various languages that can help you get going whenever you get stuck.
Conclusion : If you think you can design with no support and want to dive into dynamic page design then brinkster is for you.!
