Advantages: Easy to order brochures.
Disadvantages: Makes you dream of holidays.
Are you fed up with trips to the Travel Agents to collect holiday brochures? Well there is a web site that can send you your brochures by post, free of charge. Brochurebank (http://www.brochurebank.co.uk) has a very comprehensive list of brochures that are available for holidays originating from the UK or Ireland. You can order up to five brochures at a time and they are sent out the following day by second class post. There is a choice from hundreds of brochures, from over 150 UK tour operators and travel companies. There is a selection screen and you can find a list of brochures by either: type of holiday, destination or travel company. A full list is displayed of the brochures that meet your criteria and you can then click on the brochure name to see a short description of its contents. If you want that brochure you just tick the relevant box and then click on ?Add to basket?. When you have chosen the brochure(s) you want, you just click on the send option. You are obviously required to enter your name and address, and then just wait for the brochures to arrive. You can also join the brochurebank mailing list for regular holiday information. When I first started using this service there was about 50 tour operators on the list, but this has now tripled, and I assume will continue to grow. The site does not have any procedures for booking holidays, but most of the tour operators work through local travel agents, or will have an on-line booking system. It is a very convenient way to order your brochures, at no cost. Go and have a look and start planning your next holiday or short break.

KathrynPenguin - 27/02/01 Sounds very handy, carrying half a dozen brochures round the shops can be very tiring! |
