Disadvantages: Do you really need to know about version 5.543533?

Browserwatch.com, without being too obvious, is a site that literally watches browsers. In other words, if you haven't understood yet, it monitors the Internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, and lets you know about development and new releases.

There is no doubt that this site is pretty comprehensive for a browser site. It covers not only PC browsers, but also some for the Apple Mac and the Amiga (is that still going!?).

If you want, or need, to know how things are ticking over in the world of web browsers then I would thoroughly recommend this site. However, if you don't really need to know the exact details of Internet Explorer 5.666.33 version 2, like myself, then I wouldn't bother visiting this site.

Don't get me wrong, it is a good site, but you really have to question its use. With the advent of software such as Catch-Up (www.catchup.com) and Windows Update there is no longer a big demand for pages such as browserwatch.com - that is unless your job - or boring personality - depends upon it. But then again, I'm the one who visited it to do a review on it, aren't I?
