Advantages: friendly service, excellent range of healthy tempting products for rabbits and other rodents, reasonable prices
Disadvantages: cannot order online yet - can soon!
Having used other pet websites before to order treats and toys for my two rabbits (yes they are very spoilt), I thought I'd give bunnybazaar a go after seeing it advertised in The British Houserabbit Magazine. I had a look at the webiste which is very well organised and divided up into sections for toys, health products and of course, the all important, treats. I noticed that at the moment, you cannot order online, but this facility is being developed. However, after looking at the website, there was a link to email for a catalogue. I did this and soon received a friendly reply saying that the catalogue would be posted first thing the next day. The catalogue arrived and looked really interesting, with loads of different healthy treats for rabbits, guinea pigs and even things for small rodents. I was really impressed and found it hard to choose what to buy. I chose a large exotic treat basket with different thigns which included pineapple, apple rings, alfafa hay (I think that's how you spell it) a pinecone, loads of other goodies, all encased in an edible basket. I also chose a large basket of wholemeal rabbit toasts and two rodi baskets (with similar treats for small rodents). (I also have two hamsters, glutton for punishment, I know!) I was not able to resist the log thing that rabbits can chew (and we all know that rabbits like to chew!) and hide under at the same time. I also ordered some sore paws cream, made by a company that believes in cruelty free testing, a belief close to my own heart. (In fact a donation is made to cruelty free charity for every donation from this range). I sent the order off with my cheque and checked the webiste a couple of days later to see what it said about delivery times. I found that I could email the lovely people at Bunnybazaar to track my order. I did this and was informed that they were sorry it had taken so long and had left their premises that day and should be delivered by the
parcel people in a couple of days. (It really had not taken that long, I have waited much longer for many other things!) I was also informed that one of my items was out of stock but that they would send it on asap. As promised, the order arrived promtly and my rabbits were more than excited! They absolutely love the log thing, they enjoy hiding under it, but actually seem to prefer chewing the bark off of it. (I don't think rabbits have any sense of the value of money!) Both rabbits love the treats and I feel much happier about giving them fruit treats rather than the manufactured sugary ones sold in most pet shops. Both I and the hamsters were equally pleased with the rodi baskets. The sore paws cream was also impressive, it smelt lovely, made from aromatherapy ingredients and even better, because no cruelty was involved! The twig ball (the out of stock item) arrived two days later as promised and is appreciated as combination of a snack and toy by both rabbits. Having had problems with orders and deliveries from other pet websites before, I was extrememly impressed by the service provided by BunnyBazaar, it was both friendly and efficient. However, most important of all, praise comes from the rabbits (and hamsters) themselves, who have enjoyed their treats and harass me for more! I would definitely recommend this site and service to anyone, as the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. I will certainly be ordering from it in the very near future.

- 10/04/02 I didn't know about this site and it sounds great! I have 11 bunnies and a hamster. We sometimes have as many as 18 bunnies. I breed German lops although I am giving them a year off! Nice op. Kim :-) |
