Like most other members on this dooyoo community I love to try new products and write reviews giving my honest opinion. I also find it interesting to hear what others make of products they have tried. So, when I found out about Bzzagent I signed straight up and have not been disappointed.
Before joining bzzagent I did my research on the company. They ask for a lot of personal information when signing up so I wanted to make sure everything was legit. I was really interested to discover that Tesco had recently bought Bzzagent and felt reassured that it was reputable. I also read reviews others had written on bzzagent, finding most peoples opinion to be divided.
The concept of bzzagent is fairly simple and straight forward. Basically they are a company that sends you out products to try. Products are sent out to you free of charge, all that they ask is that you bzz about your experiences and opinions of the product they have sent you. To bzz means to talk about these products with family, friends, work collegues or infact anyone! I have always found bzzing about the products I have tested extremly easy as in the pack you recieve coupons or extra samples to pass along. Essentially it is a word of mouth Marketing idea.
Joining bzzagent took around twenty minutes. You have to enter all the usual details such as your name address etc. Then you have to complete some surveys that ask all kinds, from what washing up powder you use to whether or not you drive a car. Then you sit back and wait to be invited to a campaign. I have read many reviews from people saying that they waited months to receive their first campaign invite and that invites are generally few and far between. I have not had this experience. Infact I received an email inviting me to join a campaign within days of joining, and I accepted straight away. My first campaign was for the new Tesco Bakery and within a week of being invited My campaign kit arrived in the post. The pack contained a booklet guide with information on the new improved Tesco bakery, coupons for one free pretzel and one free bread stick along with money off vouchers to pass along to friends and family. I took my free vouchers to my local tesco and picked up my freebies. After trying the bakery products I left a review on bzzagent. I chatted about the products i had tried with friends and family and passed along the money off coupons, then again reported back to bzzagent. You do not get paid for taking part, the freebies themselves are the incentive along with the opportunities to influence companies and brands. However, you can also pick up clubcard points along the way too. Each user gets a bzz score and this bzz score will go up and down depending on how active you are and how often you complete surveys. It is possible to improve your score further by linking your account with facebook and twitter or by uploading photos of yourself using the products. The better your score the more likely you are to be invited to future campaigns.
Since joining I have had a steady amount of invites. Sometimes i have been sent coupons which need to be used in Tesco. So far I have received tesco coupons for their bakery, their free from dairy range and Dairylea triangles. Othertimes the actual product will be sent directly to you. My favourite example of this is receiving a parcel containing two full size bars of a new cadbury chocolate.
There is no real commitment, if you are not interested in a product you simply decline. I had an invite for a variety of stock cubes recently but declined it as I am a vegetarian, so obviously wasnt too interested in trying them.
I love being a bzzagent, and think its really fun and interesting. I would recommend it to anyone who loves trying out new products, writing reviews and enjoys...well...bzzing!
Summary: Bzzing...its fun!
