For a country of 33 million, the Canadians seem to always live in the shadows of the Americans and seem to compare many aspects of daily life to what their American counterparts are doing. Despite the fact the seal clubbing, extreme polluters are little different from their tubby neighbours - they seem to always try and take an upperhand. It seems that canada.com is no different as they often have articles with a tongue-in-cheek smarmyness over their southern neighbours.
