      Fantastic service

"Is that Cliff's family, there has been an accident..." that was the phone call we got 22nd of December 2004. My Grandpa had been crossing the road when a car hit him and put him in intensive care for over a month. I know I'm bias but he is a well loved/cared about man and so many people wanted to know news but we kept having to repeat ourselves and others wanted to know but didn't want to pester us with phonecalls.

I knew straight away what I needed to do, set up a Caringbridge site. Caringbridge provides free websites to families going through health problems. Its free and easy to create one, and by updating it we could update everyone who wanted to know- we simply gave out his web address. There was a guestbook so people could leave him messages which we printed and read to him.

I knew about Caringbridge as I had followed hundreds of children's battle against serious illnesses who were living all over the world. There is a big Caringrbidge community (although sadly Blogger seems to be taking away from this), its easy for families to update worried people, ask for prayers, receive messages of support and keep a record of whats going on.

Its free to join, and easy to pick a design template for your site, you can choose to password protect it so only the people you give the password to can read it or you can have it open and be amazed at the amount of people who send well wishes your way.

If you or a loved one is going through a serious illness/accident I highly recommend this way of updating people and gaining support
