Advantages: Bright, jazzy, favourite characters

Disadvantages: slow, some screens unfriendly looking

Thought I would check out Cartoon network as I'm sick of seeing Barbie (my daughter's favourite site). She usually watches CN on TV therefore she will know the characters here.

Must say I found the site a little slow to load. Took 3 minutes to get from the intorductory "enter" page to the site proper and there it seemed very 'dark' and aggressive looking - a sort of spacey theme.

Clicked on 'Cartoon Orbit' which looked a little more friendly with Scooby Doo and Fred Flintstone waiting to greet you. I waited for the tour though ... and waited ... and waited. "Awaiting Transport" I was told. Too bad. Clicked the screen off.

THen decided to to to the games section. See if I could find anything for my daughter here. oh dear. Don't have shockwave ... so I downloaded it. Oh yes. This looks more promising. I'm sure she would liek to have a look at some of these great looking games featuring some of her favourite characters; Dexter and Dee Dee, The Powerpuff Girls or Johnny Bravo.

theres also a bit all about CN 'faves' which is also nice looking, very jazzy. The Scooby Doo link tells you all about the characters / show and bits of information you didn't know you wanted to know!

I have mixed feelings about this site. It's slow, yet very animated and good looking so perhaps this should be expected. Some pages look for much older children, some for younger ones. There's lots of graphics though and loads of clickable links so I suppose the design of the site would appeal to youngsters. I'll give it about 75%
