You may have seen a programme called ‘show me the money’ on channel 4 daytime TV. If you have it will make the concept of the online game a lot easier to understand! Basically, you get given £100,000 pretend money to spend on 5 different shares. The aim of the game is to pick shares which will give you the most return and basically to make more profit than the other players. Sounds easy, but its not! The game lasts for a 10 week period. So basically, you have 10 weeks to make as much cash as you want. I watch some strange game shows and when I first started getting into Channel 4's 'Show Me the Money' I thought I may have gone slightly mad. As someone with previously no interest or knowledge of shares or trading I quickly became addicted and started using terms like 'tech shares' and 'market spread' in the pub. So it wasn't long before I fancied trying out my new obsession on the Internet but having little or no money to play with how was I to do it?
