Chatrooms in generalNewest Review: ... they were each monitored by a host, who would kick people out or ban them for saying inappropriate things as well as direct conversation topics. Many chatrooms across the Internet today aren't monitored, and these can get quite abusive and disgusting. Personally, I have far too many interests when it comes to the Internet to have time for chatrooms any more. I also think they are kind of pointless as all my friends have the Internet now and I have too little time to really chat to strangers! Some chatrooms are very basic, such as the ones typically found on bingo sites. Others allow you to change the colours and size of your text, add em... more |

Chatrooms used to be a really popular way of communicating via the Internet. Back in the 90s, most homes were without the Internet, particularly as broadband didn't really exist and there weren't the TV/phone/Internet packages around to make it cheaper. Back during this time, AOL was really popular, and it had a lot of themed chatrooms where the users could chat in real time. Some people would always stick to the same rooms, and they were each monitored by a host, who would kick people out or ban them for saying inappropriate things as well as direct conversation topics. As a teenager I used to spend a lot of time in chat rooms. It started when I was about 14, and we first got the internet. I signed up for an msn hotmail account, and everyone was abuzz about their chatrooms, so I popped over to have a look. MSN at the time had hundreds of chatrooms. Some were devoted to specific subjects, or locations. You could also set up online communities with forums and a chat room for that specific websites members. Most of the chatrooms were just filthy. People looking for online 'girlfriends' or cyber sex. And as a hormonal young lad I jumped right in. I even got myself an online girlfriend, she was an absolute stunner in ... Chatrooms are generally immediate messaging boards where you can meet people online and talk with them sharing your interest, I think that even though there have been measures made to secure chatrooms over the last few years online, they are still mostly just men and women who are perverted or want your money. I used to use chatrooms when I was younger, around the age of 14, I just used them for fun in general with my friends and we would go online and talk with eachother and occassionally others in the rooms (this was before my I signed up for a msn account. As soon as you signed into one of these sites you entered a chatroom that was filled with people who ... Read the complete review

Chatrooms are sits on the internet that you can hook up with other people of the same interests as you. There is a chatroom out there for anything and everything so whatever you are interested in then I can guarantee that with a swift Google search, you will find a room that you will feel at home in. I have been a member of various chatrooms in the past and find them more of a hindrance than anything else. I admit that it's great that you can talk to people from all over the world about things that you have in common but more often than not you will end up with one of a few things. 1) A million perverted males who try there utmost to engage with you ...
