Advantages: some high paid surveys
Disadvantages: many low paid surveys
I have been a member of Ciao for a good couple of years now. Initially the survey aspect of the site was linked to your general account. The surveys used to be quite well paid with you getting a random figure for completing a 10min survey like 67p. However this is no longer the case as you general recieve 10p for most surveys on the site, with some of these surveys taking 30mins. I have also seen many surveys offering £1-2 but I am often screened out of these.
I havent logged into this for a long time so I decided to click through on an email i recieved this morning.
Taking a survey
-------------------
Ciao sends a couple of emails a week. you do receive an email when a new survey is available. However when clicking through this email to the survey, it firstly asks you to confirm that you are yourself, which is often a little annoying to say the least.
Also many of the surveys that you get sent will then automatically screen you out, despite you having completed a
For example today I signed in to my profile to see a screen asking me if I do any of the following ten things, After selecting the appropriate options I am presented with the following surveys
clothing - 25mins 10p - screened out
work -8mins 50p - quota full
Entertainment- 20mins 10p, screened out
Entertainment -20mins 10p completed
Consmumer topics - £1 mins - didnt work
So for wasting about 30mins I have collected a whopping 10p!
Friend referral
------------------
You recieve £1 for each friend you invite to Ciao surveys when they complete their first paid survey, which is quite a good rate of return.
Payment
------------
you need to have a balance of £5 in order to request payment. Recieivng payment is simple and can be done via a bacs transfer which is done in the middle of the month, so the longest period you should wait for you money is 6 weeks
Completing profiles
------------------------
the survey site uses profiles and this site has 13 different areas for you to complete profiles in, Many of these do take a long time to complete.
Is it worth it?
-----------------
Sometimes yes this site is worth clicking on the emails as some surveys do pay £1-2, However the reason for this is that the survey only applies to a small proportion of the country and therefore screens you out many times.
Summary: not worth the hassle
