I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth... but then again, I wasn't necessarily looking for a date with a horse! And one of the problems with Excite's free personal ads is that it's just too easy for somebody to place a phoney ad - after all, it won't even cost that spotty 15-year old boy a penny to pretend to be a 23 year old Pamela Anderson lookalike... and the thought of him sniggering over your best cyber chat-up lines may make a romantic evening with that nag look a more dignfied option after all. I have found excite personals very good so far. Firstly it is free to advertise, and free to reply to other adverts. When you advertise, you receive your replies forwarded to you, with the repliers e-mail address. You can then choose to respond. You don't have to sign up to anything to reply. Just put your e-mail address in. In order to place your own advert, you need to sign up to excite, which is fairly straight forward, and free. When I placed an advert, I received one genuine reply, and we ended up meeting in person. I also received a number of replies, which were people advertising porn sites. This was obviously someone ...
