I have just had cause to query by phone and Email the progress of an outstanding order with Clifford James. On 13 November 2013 I placed an order for two pairs of thermal lined poly cotton chinos and received a confirmatory Email stating delivery would be in 3 - 4 days, that I would be notified by Email when the goods had been despatched and that I would not be charged until the goods were despatched. I purchased a large compact dehumidifier from these people just over a year ago and it has stopped working, although it sounds as if it is working it is no longer pulling in even a drop of moisture. Unfortunately being just outside the 12 months I did not expect a replacement, but asked advice on the problem, ie cause and could it be fixed. I had a young girl who sounded about 12 advise me to take it apart and change the filter, which they don't stock and advised 'oh, you could try e-bay'. However, after deciding that there was now nothing to lose by taking it apart to see if there was any obvious problem inside I have found that it is a fixed unit. I was simply told any old rubbish just to get me off the phone.

After buying a rollator I found it to be of not the best build quality. Adjusters that work loose and then fall off, the plastic break leavers do not take a lot to snap off. They do not appear to have any spare parts and do not wish to try and get replacement parts.Clifford James customer service department was of no help and it seems once they have sold the goods and got your money they really don't want to know. Anyone thinking of buying anything from Clifford James should think long and hard before parting with their money!

I bought 2 pairs in a BOGOF deal for £40. The shoes look ok but are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn Whatever I do I cannot break them in and I suffer blisters whenever I wear them - they are the correct size. The leather seems very rigid and not supple at all. I wish I's spend more on a decent pair. These shoes are now donated to the dog - for chewing purposes.
