I was looking for some Christmas colouring pages for my children at work and my grandson.
I am not a great colouring in picture fan , thinking children should be encouraged to be creative and draw colour their own style of picture but I do think that a few now and then is ok, One of the sites I found and printed a few pictures from is http://www.coloring-page.net/coloring.html.

When you open this site you get a light purple page with a yellow page of information under the title colouring pages.

There are tittles of the colouring pages from Barbie colouring pictures to Winnie the Pooh.
There are holiday colouring pages including Easter Valentines Day, mother, fathers day and of course Christmas, There are some bible colouring pages too.
There are nature colouring pages with flowers and animals. A page with transportation pictures a miscellaneous page too.

All you have to do is click on the picture on the page you want to print, up pops your printer instructions click print and make sure your printer is switched on and you will have your picture ready to colour in
Today I printed a Christmas tree out it is a simple line drawing of a Christmas tree in a pot there is a star on top of the tree and candles on the tree too. This picture should be easy to colour in and your child can then decorate it as they wish.
All the colouring in pictures is simple shapes they would be ideal for sticking onto card and making Christmas cards
As well as the pictures to colour in on this site there are activities you can print, word search puzzles, a letter recognition activity sheet with letters and pictures you have to link the correct picture to the letter. Adrian my grandson is 4 years old and he is beginning to recognise letters so this might be a game he could play.
There is a cut and paste activity to print out pieces of a picture then when they are cut out to make up like a jigsaw, well its ok but I think I will use pages from an old magazine to cut up and make a jigsaw from .There are also some simple colour by number pictures, numbers go up to 5 pictures simple,
There are some games you can play on the computer here, some word searches and a feature changing games move the mouse to make the clown smile or frown, and this would be good for body part recognition. . There is a solitaire game. Other games too. Also these games will be good for early computer skills, mouse control.
There are a few adverts on this page mostly for other education sites and a couple about insurance I saw. These adds are not intrusive as they are in small black and white print in boxes not bright picture pop ups to attract the kids, they are more for adult info.
I thought this site quite good as it had several pictures I shall use.
Thanks for reading colouring in pictures are one way to keep your child quiet over Christmas remember to talk to your child about the picture praise it and discuss colours and it will be a learning experience.

Summary: Lots of pictures you can print for your child to colour in .

These sites are really useful. I used to print out pics for my daughter when she was younger.
