There are a lot of competition sites out there for you to entertain yourselves with at the moment, but in my opinion, this and another site (loquax.co.uk) are the only sites you need. Why? Well competitions-online.co.uk list enough competitions for you to enjoy yourself with for ages. I could quite easily say that you could be there for a whole day entering different competitions that it has listed, so what else do you need? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for variety and there is a huge variety of competition sites out there for you to use, but this one is probably the best, in my opinion anyway! - THE AIM The aim of the site is to offer competition lovers loads of competitions to enter and in a range of different categories, so you don’t need to trawl through loads of listings to win a bob roll when you want to win a state of the art TV. The competitions are not run by themselves, they only list them, so it’s not one of these sites that try’s their best, but fails to deliver. You have quite a few big name companies listed offering you competitions to enter. All this site is, is a directory of competitions. It saves you hunting out the competitions yourself. - THE SITE The site itself is very easy to use. Basically you have a list of categories down the left hand side of the screen and you choose which category you want to find competitions in. Select it and then you are presented with a list of competitions which you then click on the link to enter. The list of competitions is laid out very well. It not only tells you what you can win, no no, it also tells you when the competition closes, any restrictions that the competition might have (like ‘over 18’s only’ or ‘customers only’) and it also gives you what you have to do to enter the competition. Some competitions are simple to enter, you simply type in your name and address and click the submit button and low
and behold your entered. However, some require a bit more effort on your part, especially the bigger value prizes. Typically these either require you to register yourself with the site offering the prize or to answer a few questions. Some just want you to do a questionnaire, it’s a good way for a company to get feedback! There are 30 competitions listed on the first page, but don’t forget to hit the button on the bottom of the page that says ‘next 30’. Yes, there are more! Theres so many, like I have said, you could be there for hours, and that’s only one of the categories! If you wish you can sign up for their weekly newsletter where they will e-mail you with news on new competitions and also give you tips or answers to some of the competitions requiring you to do something to give you a better chance of winning them. So in effect, you don’t even have to look on their site for new competitions, you can just wait for them to get off their arses and e-mail you! One of the features that I like best is the part where it allows you to list all the competitions that are ending today or that week. If your like me and can’t be bothered entering competitions that end in 3 years, then you can just list the competitions that are ending soon. Therefore, you’ll know whether or not you have won quicker! Another part of the site that might appeal to some is the feature that shows you all competitions that are run daily, weekly or monthly. Bananlotto for example would be a daily competition as you can enter it each day. Brilliant! Maybe you’ve got a website yourself and you’ve got a competition running, you may aswell get some traffic to your site while your running it, so why not add it using the groovy little ‘add competition’ button (actually it’s not groovy, it’s just text, I just felt like putting the word ‘groovy’ somewhere in my opinion, s
o there we go, I done it twice now, so I’m happy!) - CATEGORIES As I have already mentioned, this site has a lot of categories and a huge number of competitions within them. There are 21 categories, so you should find something you like. To make it a bit easier and show you the types of competitions you might find, I’ll give you a run down of probably the most popular categories. # Computers Fancy a palmtop computer? Maybe a laptop. You could win yourself a Lexmark Z42 printer of a Kodak Digital Camera. However, if your more a software person than a hardware person, you might like to enter yourself into the competition offering you the CD of the 2001 edition of Encyclopaedia Britannica. #Electrical Ahhh, you’re a gadget freak a bit like me. Then get yourself along to win a DVD player (actually, there are a lot of competitions offering you DVD players). Now try and win yourself a Sony 32” widescreen TV to go with your new DVD player! Not your type of thing? Well enter to win a Combination microwave oven or Candy Fridge Freezer. Theres something here for everyone! #Cash Want to buy your own goods with a nice bundle of cash? Well this is the category for you then! Win anything from £15 - £60,000 and more by entering some of the competition or draws entered here. What can you lose really? Nothing apart from a few minutes of your time! #Kids/Toys Want to treat your kids? Or maybe your just a big kid at heart (a bit like me then!) Pick yourself up £100 worth of Toys’R’Us vouchers or net yourself pokemon on video (I wouldn’t recommend this though as the theme tune will drive you crazy! #Holidays Fancy getting away from it all? Your husband annoying you with the digital camera he has just won? Then get yourself a trip to Las Vegas or if that’s all to hectic for you, why not jet away on a weekend in Barcelona? Obviously the
above competition are correct as I’m writing this, but it’s just to give you a rough idea of the competitions on offer! Other categories you can find are…Health & Beauty, Games, Automobiles, Fashion, Entertainment, Sport and loads more! - DESIGN & NAVIGATION The design is ok. That’s all I’m going to say on that one. Well, actually it’s not. It’s a design that works and if it aint broke, don’t fix it. It’s not at all bad, but it’s not ‘wow’ either and I should think whoever designed it could have done it better. I can’t argue with the way the competitions are listed though. The design here is very clear and you can see exactly what you need to see and nothing else! The navigation is excellent. Everywhere you might want to go is listed very nicely and clearly. You won’t be confused clicking your way around this site! What’s more, I haven’t come across a broken link yet, all the links I clicked on took me where I was expecting to go to! - OVERALL Overall I think this is a great site and I don’t use it as much as I should. I suppose I have just got a little annoyed about never winning anything. But, then again, I’m not going to win anything if I don’t keep trying and I can tell you now that there are a lot of reviews on here where users have said that they have actually won a prize via this site and I know a couple of people in the ‘outside world’ (ooo, scary thought there) that have won using this site. One netted himself a decent stereo too! Go and have a look, a lot of people say they are addicted, but I haven’t got any room for any more addictions at the moment, so this addiction will just have to wait. Good luck! www.online-competitions.co.uk
Competitions Online or The Prizefinder lists competitions in various manners - New Additions, by prize category (cars, holidays, cash, art, books, electrical), or by daily, weekly, monthly entry etc. It's easy enough to use and there's a lot of content. They also run exclusive competitions for registered users and have weekly newsletters The new message boards gives the site's users more interactivity although these tend to be quiet at time. There are lots of competitions to enter and plenty of prizes to be won.
Competitions-online.co.uk has recently undergone a major revamp. It was always the best competition site on the net for my money, but now it’s even better and puts the competition (if you’ll pardon the pun) firmly in the shade. Now preferring to go under its newer name of theprizefinder.com (though you can still get to it by typing the old address into your browser), it’s slicker, quicker and bigger than ever, and undoubtedly the best place to go for online comps and prizes. Looks: The new site looks great. The main colours are bright blue and orange, which might sound like an eyesore, but they actually work really well. They’re basically more vibrant versions of the site’s old colours, and this simple change has given the site a fresh, alive and fun feeling that is a joy to see loading. Functionality: You must now join as a member before you can access the new prizes. This is a very simple process taking just a minute or two. You then get the choice of receiving the newsletter or not. And if you don’t want to have to log in every time you visit, make sure you’ve got cookies enabled so the site will remember you. Getting around the site is simplicity itself thanks to a clear navigation bar that remains at the left of your screen whatever page you’re on. It’s from here that you access the competition categories which include: Automobiles Cash Vouchers Electrical Goods Computers Tiebreaker Comps …and many more. Competitions are UK only or worldwide, and prizes range from the small but useful, like £5 vouchers or a book or cd, to real life-changers such as holidays of a lifetime, tens of thousands of pounds and cars. There is also a ‘New Additions’ button which takes you to a page of dates covering the previous week. Choosing a date then takes you to all the competitions which we
re added that particular day. This is the best option to use if you’re a regular visitor as it saves scrolling around through the different categories trying to remember which ones you’ve entered and which you haven’t, especially when you consider that there have been almost 100 competitions per day this week alone. Note that you must be logged in to access this particular page. One thing that used to annoy me about this site was that it was slow. Not surprising when you consider that there could be over 100 competitions in a category and all were displayed on the same page. They’ve changed that now by displaying only 10 comps per page, meaning that each page loads much, much faster. Competitions are briefly described in terms of what you have to do to enter, and links take you to each competition in a new browser window. I particularly like this as you’ve always got the prizefinder page there to refer back to immediately instead of having to type the address again or use your ‘back’ button. I’ve always liked this site for its simplicity and clarity, and now it’s even simpler and clearer. It’s absolutely up to the minute and often has prizes listed way before similar sites such as loquax. I am absolutely addicted to this site. Over the last couple of years I have entered literally hundreds of competitions via its links. I’ve never won so much as a sausage (though I know people who have) but I live in hope, and living in hope is half the fun. Overall a superb site well worth visiting. You’ve nothing to lose but could gain a very nice surprise indeed.
I stumbled across competitions-online.co.uk about a year ago, and haven't looked back since. I have had a steady flow of prizes, which cheers me up no end when I get a a parcel I don't have to pay for. THE WEBSITE: The site itself is pretty basic, but it doesn't need to be full of pictures or extras. All you are there for is to enter a comp right? LAYOUT: Each section runs down the left side, giving you easy access to the right sort of competition you are looking for, whether it be, Computers, Books, Toys, etc. There are also sections for 'New additions', 'closing soon', 'weekly', 'daily', 'tie breakers'. I particularly like the 'closing soon' section as I know it wont be long until the winner is drawn. EASE: Once clicking on the category you are interested in, you get taken to the list of competitions available to enter. There are a few sentences for each prize, stating, closing date, prize, what you have to do to enter (normally just answer a question, although sometimes you are asked to register), and any restrictions, eg, Only open to students. Most competitions are open to UK members aged 18 or over, but there is the odd comp that is for kids or students like I said. HOME PAGE: There is a competiton running at the moment which pops up when you enter the site. They are offering £5000 if you can tell them who the President of America is. The choices are- - Ronald Regan - George Bush - Theodore Roosevelt The answer is George Bush just in case you didn't know. They are also giving away a Playstation 2 every day if you click on the link and register with Vizzavi. I did this and it was pretty painless. I've got nothing to lose after all. Other features on the home page are a space for you to enter your e-mail address and receive weekly comnpetitio
n updates. Also there is a section for you to add your own competition to the site. The site overall is very fast, and I have never found a broken link yet. I would reccomend this site as I know I have won things: - a telegram teddy - books - a talking robot - toaster (worth £129) - particularly proud of this one. To name a few. Nothing really big has come my way yet, but you never know. I'm hanging out for that trip of a lifetime, or a new car.
Friday was an ordinary day then I came onto Dooyoo for a brief browse and find an opinion on the front-page relating to this site. It sounded interesting so over I went to check it out, the user had also said they had won a toilet seat from going to the site and if that ain't recommendation then i don't know what is! Competitions Online is pretty self-explanatory. It's a simple listings site giving you links to all the current competitions you can enter on-line and believe me there are a lot of them. Each competition is put into a category as follows :- Art Automobiles Books Cash Computers Electrical Entertainment Fashion Film and TV Food Games Health and Beauty Holidays Home and Garden Kids/Toys Miscellaneous Music Shopping Sport Tiebreakers This then leads you to the listings which give you the website link to the competition, the prize, closing date, instructions and who it's open to. No elaborate jargon or waffle, it's all simple and what you need to know and nothing more. I must warn you there is a big danger in using this site, it's incredibly addictive. I've entered competitions before and won stuff, a few online, a few offline. In fact it's the way I started my dvd infatuation. But here you are being shown sites where you can win prizes that you actually want. The cost is obviously not really applicable. You don't have to do much more than fill out your details or send an e-mail. Either way there's no stamp costs or the time it takes to walk to a post box. I suppose the downside is that by entering some of these competitions you are liable to get some junk mail by registering with sites. But then again it's your choice you don't have to enter them and most give you the usual small print to decline such notifications. There's not much more to the site than
that. There are sections that show competitions that end soon as well as general news and a search facility. The layout of the website is simple and mainly text based which means no heavy graphic downloads. This allows you to breeze through each website link with no problem. You also get the chance to visit websites you didn't know existed. I'm sure thise site pretty much updates itself but income seems to be gathered by affiliate links and click thru programmes. So I've entered my competitions and now I wait, maybe I'll win and maybe I won't but either way there's not much effort in exchange for potential gain. If I do win anything I’ll let you know in a big self-gratifying update!
Competitions online is one of my favourite websites which I try to visit daily. It is set out very clearly into sections. You can just go to the latest competitions or even to the ones which are closing that day (handy if you are not the patient type). If you have a couple of hours to spare you may prefer to go through the categories entering as many competitions as you can. As the website title suggests you can enter them all online, no need to look for a pen and postcard. I have been entering competitions on and off for about 2 years. I tend to enter loads, get disheartened when I don't win then as soon as I do win something it's back to the site to start again. Up to now I have won a crate of wine, a 20" combination TV/video, 2 gameboys, a rucksack, several books, various computer games, a fleece and a toilet seat(strange but true). Apart from the wonderful feeling when you win there is always the hope that today you will get that Long White Envelope telling you you have won a prize. Of all the sites around I feel this is the best as it is set out simply and is easy to use. It is also always up to date and loads quickly. The only downside is that I never want to get off it.
This is probably the best competitions website you will find.Everything is there in one place for you no searching just click and enter the competitions.I discovered Competitions Online about a year ago(no known as Prizefinder.com)and since then have won numerous competitions including digital camera, dvd player,£100 vouchers,£1000 cash, season ticket for local football team and loads of smaller prizes such as dvd's cd's books etc.I get comments from loads of people when i tell them like you are so lucky because i never win anything, but when you ask them if they enter competitions they 95% say no.The saying goes "you have to be in it to win it" so get those fingers working and win some prizes.Ok more details on the website as requested by Daisy Duck :) .It's set out in catergory's for specific prizes eg cash electricals etc if its your first visit it will take you quite a while to complete every catergory. After that there is a new competition section which is updated daily which takes me about 30 minutes to enter approximately 60-70 comps and a closong soon section which comes in handy sometimes when you think you've missed any comps. If you need to contact the webmaster Steve for any reason say a dead link he always replies promptly. The pages are quick to load with no fussy un-needed graphics just the info you need to get you entering all those comps.
This a site that I really like, it’s a site that you can relax and just browse at ease and who knows you could win some great prizes. The site allows you to enter competitions free, although the site itself doesn’t offer free competition, it allows you to follow links which will take you straight to the competition site. It’s all very easy and good fun especially if you win. To tell you the truth I don’t have much luck with competition that’s why I never do the lottery or buy scratch cards, but with this site the chances are winning are good and I have actually won a few things. To me what you win is not important what is important is that you have won something. So here’s my list of prizes since I have been visiting this site for about five or six months. I won a set of three pen, some shampoo samples, five mousemats, some book vouchers, discount voucher to Alton Towers and some ipoints. The chances are winning are really up to you, if you enter hundreds of competitions then you will win something so the law of averages state. And if you enter one or two don’t hold you’re breath. So, my great but very original tip ‘be in it to win in it and enter as many as you can’. Even if I don’t have much time I still visit the site, it’s quite easy to keep up to date with the site, the category ‘New Addition’s and a newsletter which you can subscribe to means you won’t miss out on any of the new competitions. The general layout of the site is good and it’s way to find your way around the competitions. There is a very good range of categories from which you can win prizes from. So, if you fancy some Music or Computer items then enter the competitions under those categories. I would definitely recommend anyone to bookmark this site, it’s a site that’s good to surf and theirs is a very good chance you can win some prizes. The cus
tomer service department are very good, they regularly e-mail me to ask if I have suggestion to the site, so it’s a site that cares about feedback. The site is quite fast but there is one annoying thing, when you click on to the links, a window pops open and sometimes before you know it you have three or four open which can slow your computer down or even cause it to crash. Overall one of the better competition sites on the net, good content and good chances of winning.
Be a winner instead! Well in theory at least. This site has been going for years and years - I've been using it for ages, but to be honest I don't remember if I've actually won anything aas a result. I might have but I don't remember. The site itself is extremely well organised - want quick results? Look in the competitions lists for competitions closing in the next few days - that way you're out of your misery soon. Looking for something specific? Money? Cars? Clothes? DVD players? - then the site is organised into nice categories for you to look through. Now having the selection of competitions to enter means you can pick and choose what kind of things you want to win but it does by no means mean you'll win them unfortunately. Of course having such a readily available selection means statistically there's more chance of you winning *something*. After all - enter enough and you're bound to win something eventually. There's a useful mailing list which keeps you updated of new competitions each week which you can subscribe to. The site itself even runs competitions such as one at the moment where you get a free trip for 5 to france if you can provide details of a competition you've won through them. Personally I still prefer phone-in competitions as there's a more realistic chance of winning since there's usually some skill involved in dialing in at the right time, but it's still a useful site. So if you've got a lot of spare time on your hands try entering a few competitions and you never know you might find a parcel arriving at your door. Ken
Some people are just born lucky are'nt they? Me however.......well, the less said about my luck when enetering comps the better! Enough about me, lets talk about this site. It's easy layout and simple to use features makes it easy for even the computer illitirate! It is put into sections, for example: cash, automobiles, holidays, etc. If your anything like me, you always head straight for the holidays (hav'nt won any though! surprise surprise!) There is always a huge range, not like other comp sites who have maybe 2 or 3 on each subject. I have won something on this site (a book on how to give up smoking in one hour, hav'nt got past the first page yet!) so they are genuine comps. Be careful though, extremley addictive, i should know, i do about 10 comps a day! Visit it, it's great.
If your the type of person who likes to enter competitions but never knew where to find them online then check this site out. It lists hundreds of competitions from the UK as well as world-wide. This website is basically a directory, listing all the competitions in categorised form, which is done in several ways. Either they are categorised by subject(e.g. cash, sports), or if they are closing soon and also the daily, weekly and monthly draws. There is a search facility if you don’t want to look through loads of competitions to find what you are looking for and email subscription for new competitions updates. This site layout is simple and laid out well and the navigation to all the competition sites are good and clear to use. I personally have been using this site for over a year now and even though I have never won anything from the sites suggested on this webpage, there is a lot to choose from and is a good place to kill some time as there is always something that will interest you.
It's odd, I hardly ever win anything online, but I cant shake my addiction ot this competition site. I use it every single time I log on to the interente - at home, at university, at the library, on my PDA. Anywhere possible! Even though I havent won, dont lose hope! Someone wins! There are so many competitions to choose from that I'm sure everyone else must have more luck than me. My obsession has gone beyond the point of embaressment. I enter competitions for things that I know I dont want - just because I like to enter competitions!! So far I have won two big prizes from the net... a vodafone, and an Olympus digital voice recorder! Not bad eh?! This site is guaranteed to give you a wide range of competitions. I reccommend you try it, and see if you can win more than me.
I recently came across a web site called competitions-online.co.uk. It is a brillant website that updates it competitions every day, usually between 30 and 100 new competitions each day. You can also search for suitable competitions under headings, such as holidays, cars etc. I have only been using it for a short time but have won a variety of small prizes such as friends series six on dvd, louise album, moisturizer etc. It only takes a short time every day to enter the competitions you are interested in and is well worth while! If you find a competition that interests you, all you have to do is click on the link and it will take to directly to the site making it quick ad easy to use. Have a go and I guarantee you will get addicted!
I love this site. When I was doing my Computer Science dissertation last summer, I was on a computer for about 10 hours a day (my own fault for choosing a hard one) and as you can imagine, I got quite bored. It was pure luck that I found this page on one of my random, escape-doing-any-work web surfs. Since I found it my dissertation work went downhill (now my lecturers know the real reason). I quickly worked it into my daily routine. The site has a good menu with all the different competitions split into different categories, but the best part of the site in my opinion is the 'Closing Soon' section. This section of the site lists the competitions by their closing date. Any time I go onto the site now I go to this section and enter all the competitions closing that day. When listing competitions, information is provided about the prizes available, the organiser of the competition, the closing date, and any restrictions. Another great thing about the site is that most of the competitions are for UK users only. If there is one thing I hate it is following a competition link, filling out the form and then reading that it is only open to US residents. This is never a problem now with Competitions Online. Now to tell you about what I know your interested in, what I have won from this site. Over the 3 months of summer, I managed to rack up 4 DVD movies, 2 VHS ones, a Rough Guide to Bali and Lombok, and (the best so far) a £700 digital camera. To everyone reading this I say, try this site and take a little time to complete a few entries and you never know your luck.
Its true that many companies on the internet often have online competitions, some offering really great prizes. So where does "competitions online" come into this I hear you wonder. Well put very simply the "competitions online" people find these online competitions and list them on their website. Its basically just a simple and easy to use website showing you and everyone else where the hot online competitions are. It gives details of each competition, including what is required to enter. E.g some competitions require your e-mail address and home address so that you can enter. To be honest I don't like giving out my home address out over the internet. I only ever enter the competitions on offer that are being provided by companies that are well known and well trusted. I have entered BT (British Telecom), yahoo and kelloggs competitions. I actually entered the kelloggs competition for computer games and then forgot all about it. Months later a massive parcel arrives bursting with goodies. The website is an excellent competitions resource and is updated daily. If you want to start entering lots of competitions get a second email address that you can then dedicate just for entering online competitions. You don't have to get a second e-mail address, but beware that the email account you use will soon become very full with emails from various companies. The website is fun and its so simple that anyone could use it. ANOTHER MASSIVE THUMBS UP!
