Advantages: UK Based - That's About It!
Disadvantages: No Organisation, All Paid Links - GREED!
This site seems relatively good at its job and it's design doesn't do bad at complimenting it. It focuses on online competitions available to all of us here in England, Scotland and Wales, and seems to have a wide range of contests too.
One thing that I do see as lacking, however, is organisation. Instead of categories of competitions according to their type, all of the competitions are instead purely listed on the front page, one after the other. Being simple text, save a vibrant yellow image displaying NEW next to the appropriate competitions, nothing really stands out to catch my attention; and worse still, from what I've seen of the first few compos, they all redirect to paying affiliate links - meaning there's never going to be anything new and enticing.
They do though, as aforementioned, have a wide range of contests and prize draws. These range from strangely enough a banana lotto (don't ask!) to trips abroad to Disneyland and the like.
Present along the left hand side nearer the middle of the page fold, there is an area where different types of competitions (cash, cars, holidays and instant wins) are listed - and just above is a listing of bargains and free stuff, which without a doubt lead directly to affiliate links. What a scam.
This site clearly is in it for the money gained from blatantly using affiliate links to the deception of the user and, while I said in one of my other reviews that someone has to win, this goes beyond that.
Apart from a charitable "Hunger Site" button, and another site which is probably nothing more than a link exchanging partner, there are no visible links on this page where the webmaster doesn't make some moolah.
Even with this apart, the organisation, classification and categorisation of competitions on this site is attrocious, and therefore I do not rate this site at all. In fact it's getting two stars. Sorry to be so blatant, hehe tha
