I moved my site to Compila after having many, many problems with my last hosting company. From day one the guys have been nothing but helpful answering my MANY questions and doing most of the leg work. I'd always had trouble with the mySQL with my last host (who were an awful lot more expensive considering the lack of help I got from them) the servers were always dreadfully slow and they seemed constantly down but I have had no such problems with Compila. They are reliable, quick to respond and great value for money. I'd definitely recommend them if anyone asked. :)

I started using Compila about three years ago as they were recommended to me by a friend as being a good choice for value for money. As a web developer, I was keen to find a host that offered the right price and one that I could trust as I didnt want my customers coming back to me telling me that their site was down. Compila proved to be the right choice for me and I now host over 50 websites with them. I'm happy, my customers are happy and my pocket is happy. In fairness, I couldnt ask for a better partnership in a web host.

Totally worthess service, yeah their cheap but your websites online about 65 percent! i only clicked 1 star here because i had to click at least 1, otherwise i would have voted zero, i had the audacity to complain about downtime, 5 days ago, so far all they done is told it was my own computer, said i transferred the server names somewhere else, said they're transferring them back, 'should take four hours' that was 24 hrs ago, bassically not worth the paper the reciept is printed on, stay away avoid.

Fine if things are going right. The moment something goes wrong you may have a problem. Very competetive pricing but at a cost: customer service can be disappointing (slow, sometimes disinterested & often ineffective). The Bargain Plan I used was full of features and very good value for money when it was running properly. I had few 12 hour outages for unknown reasons but at £20 a year one has to accept a few glitches. More concerning was the fact my site was hacked and malicious code inserted into many of the pages. I'm running 3 websites hosted by compila.com and so far (a year) they've been brilliant: I'm using linux hosting on their bargain plan (£19.00 p.a.) and the servers and mySQL are quick. The unlimited bandwidth really is (with the proviso that the max file size is 1Mb, which doesn't seen too unreasonable): when I've reached my bandwidth 'limit', they just increase it. Tech support is amazing - really fast, friendly solutions, apparently 24/7. Only slight niggle is that the documentation's aimed at basic users and there isn't anything in any depth, but since tech support is so good I just ask if I can't ...  Read the complete review
