Disadvantages: The appliance company from hell
Appliance Deals can be found at www.appliancedeals.com and are by far the most dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune to purchase anything from.
I bought a washing machine from them checking first that they delivered. They said 'no problem.' I placed my order and that's when my problems began.
They have a ten point promise on the website that basically says that not only fo they deliver, but they also unpack your product and place it where you want it. If only I'd even got to that stage.
I was phoned up the day before 'delivery' and given their promised four hour window and told it would be delivered between 10am and 2pm. When it had not appeared by 2:40pm I phoned up and that's when the lies began.
I phoned a number of times and was always told someone would get back to me, but no one did and I was the one who kept on having to phone up to see where my washing machine was.
In the calls I made to customer services, I was told the 'courier' must have got lost. Then he'd had an accident and that no one could contact him - they'd left several messages with his depot and then on his phone apparently.
It later turned out that was lies and what had happened was the courier didn't even have my machine because they had given it to another courier.
I was only told this however when after a new delivery date was made (almost a week later) in which they promised to deliver and they failed to yet again.
The third party courier phoned to say it would be delivered the next morning, but when it was a no show by mid day, I phoned the courier company and got a caveman who blew through his teeth, kept calling me darling and said 'I'm not sure if we can fit in your delivery today.' Hey girls we have all been there dealing with men who talk to us like we are the bird they just met in the bar.
I then cancelled the order, but that was no easy feat. I was told that I couldn't and then that I could. When I phoned up to see it had definitely been cancelled I was told it hadn't and someone called Carl tried to talk me out of cancelling and it was only when I left him in no doubt that they could stick the appliance where the sun don't shine (I didn't swear I was still polite) that they finally said they would cancel it.
I would get a refund in seven days.
Ten days passed and there was no sight of it, so I contacted them only to be told that no refund has been processed at all. They said they would do it now, but days later and there was still refund.
I am still waiting for the £314 they owe me and would advise anyone against dealing with this company.
They tell you a pack of lies when they don't deliver. Try to keep your cash at all costs even when they have no reason to do so. And, all their customer service staff act like they came out of a dummy factory. BEWARE buying anything from this unscrupulous mob. You're better off shopping in store with someone else.
I did and the machine I bought was over £20 cheaper and that included delivery.

Summary: They take your money, don't deliver keep your cash and you have to fight for a refund.
