Advantages: it is another way to earn money

Disadvantages: just reduced the pay out, few reads from members

This is an opinions site in a similar vein to dooyoo and ciao. To set itself aside from these site however www.computer-reviews.co.uk accepts that reviews based around computer products.

The currents sub-sections are;

Computer software
Computer games
Computer hardware
Computer vendors

Computer games recently replaced computer publications, probably in an attempt to attract more writers. Computer publications (only option is actually computer magazines) is still available but is only accessible through the search box feature as opposed to a direct link.

It is currently the directly recommended site for www.dabs.com and this no doubt results in many of the reviews getting more reads all be them non-member reads in all liklihood (and subsequently no payment) but it may cause the site to suceed so who am I to argue.

You are currently paid 10 pence (up until recently it was 40p) for each review that is accepted. At this point I should say churners should beware, this website will delete bare minimum word reviews of a non-satisfactory nature. This is merely at their discretion, rounded terms at set out in the terms and licence.

The minimum review length is 200 words and the maximum is 1000. Personally I find the idea of a maximum review a little strange but at least it induces conciseness and well written reviews.

For each logged in member read you get, you will receive 5p although such reads are few and far between so don't count on this for any particular income.

The site is reasonably fast access at times but at others, every other click results in the page not being found and a page refresh being required as a result.

All in all this is a reasonable addition to the review sites world. My only reservation is that with so few reads how long can this site survive.
