Advantages: Ipoints, Easy to use, No Spam

Disadvantages: Quite an ugly site

Overall I have a strong hatred for survey and competition sites, since the days MyOffers used to give ipoints away for their surveys I have been inundated with emails from them - Spam Spam Spam-arama! This is the thought whenever I see a surveys site and so, once bitten and all that, I was a little less than keen to join this one. BUT, there's ipoints to be won and I was really disappointed when the MyOffers thing ended and so, yes, I joined up for the chance to add to my balance.

Ipoints = an online reward scheme for those who don't know.

The site:
---------

I heard about Consumerlink from Dooyoo, there's a few ops out there and, in the course of my reading through, I came across a few of them. Ipoints were mentioned so I thought I'd give it a bash.

The first thing to note is that, as my title suggests (not very subtly mind), it is a horrible little site. Bad colours, very ugly to look at and not at all the professional site I imagined from what I'd heard. I persevered though and signed up.

Signing up process - simple enough. All the fields on the form must be filled in, you get to chose your username and password first of all, this will be confirmed on your screen and you're then ready to go on and fill ion all your registration details. You're asked about your computer, internet use/access, the things you're into and the basic details like name, email address etc.

Once you've filled it all in you'll get an email to confirm your membership and you're all fit to go.

The surveys:
------------

The thing with Consumerlink is that you do not get any of the Spam mailings that you get from MyOffers and suchlike, you surveys need to be invited to participate in the survey of the week/day. and then go through to log in and complete it. None of the log-in and go kind of surveys at all.

Once you've been chosen to participate you r
eceive an email, this gives you the name of the survey and the password for it. You go through, log in and then just enter the answers in the boxes given or click on the yes/no box.

You're specifically targeted for the surveys based on your signing up details so you will generally get stuff that's somewhat interesting to you personally.

Ipoints are earned on a random basis so the more surveys you qualify for, the better the chances of winning. Usually the first 100 out of the hat will get 25 ipoints for the survey. Cool stuff really as they only take a few minutes to go through.

Overall:
--------

Well, I'm not keen on survey sites (opinion sites I like...) but this one is a bit different. You're not inundated with emails, your details are not sold on to other companies and you can earn ipoints for it. All in all, looks aside, this is a good site, gives some interesting surveys to answer and I don't feel that it can be faulted.

That was the Boon ;¬)
