Advantages: Easy to follow instuctions, you can cook a meal with the things you have in your cupboards, very easy to follow site

Disadvantages: Shows you a few recipes that you may not have the entire ingredients for.

Are you the classic student with limited food in the fridge, a family at the end of the month waiting for payday to come, completley broke and have no food, or are you just stuck with what to do for tea?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions then this site is for you.

Cooking by numbers.com is the site create by Tom Tuke-Hastings for all us busy people who are basically stuck with what to cook for a meal any time of day.

The site is so easy to navigate you cant go wrong.

.............................................
You click on the little tomato face to enter and you get taken to a list of different foods.

The first list is-

Whats in your fridge, where you have a list of 1-25 different foods with little boxes you simply have to tick if you have that particular item of food in your fridge.

Some of these foods are things such as- butter, milk, eggs and onions.

Then the second list is a list of 1 -20 items of food you may have in your cupboards, and you simply do the same as for your fridge, tick the boxes next to the item you have in your cupboard.

And some of these things will be things such as - coffee, tuna, beans, sugar and pasta.

.............................................

When you have finished ticking your boxes you then click the find recipes button at the bottom of the page and it takes you to a long list of recipe names.

The recipe names go from top to bottom.

Starting at the top, that recipe will have 100% of the ingredients that you already have, and has you work your way down the list you will find the recipes that have a less percentage of the ingredients that you have in your cupboard.

............................................

When you find something that you fancy making you simply click the name and it takes you straight to the recipe, where it has the ingredients written out for you and step by step in
structions on how to make it.
<br>
The recipes are all printable so you can even take it to the kitchen with you.

............................................

On the main home page you have a list of eight links down the left hand side that you may also find useful.
These are-

1) The place where you tell them all the different foods you have in your kitchen.

2) The online shop where you can purchase the creators cook book, or you can buy the cooking by numbers glass.

3) Links to other sites of use.

4) Feedback, where you can tell Tom what you think of his site.

5) Send E-cards(he only has a few select cards to send though).

6) This is the skill by numbers link where tom will tell you all the basic things we should all know in the kitchen. There are 27 very useful things that he shows you how to do such as, how to seperate an egg, chop an onion, cook rice and pasta, and also how to make a salad dressing.

7) A link for a competition.

8) A fun tomato game for you to play when you get bored of cooking.

Im sure you'll find the site a great use, and you may even impress you mom or girl/boyfriend will you new skills.

How useful does that sound?! Usually I'm more organised than that, but it could come in handy. Good review.

People sad enough in the Delia department to need this should be allowed to starve <g>

Seriously - sounds like it could be very useful for some people
