“ Online store for the Copro label (metal) „
Metal music distributor Copro Direct's online website is the metal webstore equivalent of a car boot sale on a wet sunday afternoon: the choice range is terrible and the majority of their stock consists of rubbish, but on the other hand there are still some bargains to be had for anyone willing to sift through the dross in order to hunt them down. Copro Direct is the distribution wing of Copro records, who despite having one or two decent bands on their roster have always struck me as something of a bottom-feeder of a label. The Copro Direct website is a garish, functional affair that looks like it was cobbled together very quickly, and whilst there are categories for dvds, music merchandise and books, the only catalogue that actually has any items for sale in it is CDs, which consists of 19 pages of largely generic metal and rock releases that nobody really wants. On the plus side, these start from prices as low as 95p plus postage, and the site's saving grace is that amongst the mediocrity are some dirt-cheap releases by some well-liked bands such as Earthtone9, Desecration and Medulla Nocte. Most of the stuff is just junk though, and a fair bit of it quite expensive junk at 7.99 plus postage. Its at least worth a look through to see if you can dredge up any titles of interest though, and the service that they provide is both reliable and fairly fast. The site hasn't been updated in a long time either, so one look is probably enough to determine whether the webstore is worth bothering with.
