We wanted to make a last-minute booking for a short break in Scotland and I found the website very easy to navigate, finding a suitable cottage in under five minutes. The information on services local to our choice was also good, and the photographs offered helped our decision. However, having made an on-line booking, our chosen accomodation still showed as available for the dates we had booked 24 hours after we had submitted the on-line booking form (with payment) - we ended up 'phoning cottages4you Customer Services to check our booking had gone through okay. Confirmatory e-mails were also slow in being sent, although a delay of up to 48hrs is noted on the website.
In conclusion, the website booking facility is easy and fast but confirmation of booking is slow and could be improved - after all, when booking or buying over the 'net, most of us are looking for a quicker, simpler option with (almost) instant confirmation of our purchase.
