CYKI (Can You Kick It?) has finally developed a fantasy football game worth playing on the net and whats more, its FREE.

At first I was unsure about entering, this was largely due to the points system (which I will explain shortly) and the fact that you have to pick a 15 man squad as opposed to 11 players. However it sonn turned out to be one of the most skillful and enjoyable fantasy football games i've ever had the pleasure to be part of!

Before I begin to take you through the ins and outs of CYKI you must bare in mind that this is a free game so sadly there are no prizes on offer. However, that said, there is nothing stopping you and your mates setting up a private mini league (which is very easy to do) and giving a prize to the victorious manager.
Anyway back to boring you with information about how the game works. Firstly you pick a team name along with a custom made kit in order to distinguish your team from the thousands of other teams who enter. You then have to pick a 15 man squad consisting of 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 strikers. This is where the skill begins as you can pick whatever formation you desire! Also you have 4 subs which you can sub in at any time without any points getting deducted from your score, so do you pick 15 good players or 11 outstanding players and 4 absoloute donkeys.
You then need to select a captain who scores double points. You can make transfers at any time you wish, however two points are deducted from your total score for every transfer.
Then we get to CYKI strange scoring system, you get points if you man just plays! I won't bore you with it just follow this link to check it out.......

All transfers, subs and captain changes have to be made before a set deadline (the first game of that week) this prevents cheats from changing their teams prior to every match.
The final selling point of this game is that the scor
es are updated approximatly a couple of hours after the after the final game of the week. You can also check your preliminary scores just a couple of hours after the final game of that day has been played.

The Website is very easy to navigate around, it loads quickly and is very clear to understand. It has 6 buttons along the left frame, to help you get around the site, these are.....
Home-Gets you back to the beginning of the web site.
Rules- Tells you the ins and outs of the game including,
Team Management=telling you the ins and outs of doing your team, subs, formation etc.
Scoring=How points are scored.
Leagues=How your position in the league is worked out.
Transfers=How and when you can do transfers.
Legal=Legal Stuff.
There is then a STATISTICS section, this is very useful, it tells you a lot of information about which players are scoring highest, who the best bargains are, it also tells you which team is scoring highest.
News- This is the news section telling you about what is going on in the world of football.
And finally there is a Help section, which speaks for itself!
Once you have logged in there is a team management area you enter, this is where you do all your transfers and subs. There is also a link to another area on the site which tells you about the latest injury news and the next fixtures for every team, This is extremely helpful!

CYKI is definatly a fantasy football game worth playing, its regular updates and unorthodox scoring make it the BEST fantasy football game on the net!
