I too joined Dating Direct and it is true, you do seem to get alot of mail in your inbox.

I've been a member for about a month, I have had one dinner date and a few 'hopefuls', but nothing has come to fruition.... yet.

A few pointers to watch out for is make sure you have a recent photo of the person, it's amazing how much a persons appearance can change after a couple of years, and try to stay away from endless emails.
This is purely for the fact that first: You may end up mailing each other for ages and never meeting... eventually falling for this person whom you've never met because they type all the things that you want to read.

Try and set up a date within a week!
(In a public place, think of your own safety obviously)

Dating direct is a great site, you can pick and choose who you'd like to talk to or meet to... all in your jammies... how liberating is that?

The search functions are great, you can pick whether they smoke, have children, what kind of relationship they're looking for, their height, what they do for a living and even if they're income is low, moderate or high.
But... I suppose that doesn't matter if you're looking for the 'real thing'.

I tend to use the search function that has photos only, it makes me feel more secure about the whole thing.
