Been using dial a flight for years now for my business travel . Wesley is always super efficient and always works hard to get me the best deal for me and my colleagues. Professional, efficient, helpful. Would definitely recommend.
We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Orlando, which was all organised by Dialaflight.
They took care of everything, including flights, car hire, hotel and theme park tickets.
From the first call (which was answered within 5 seconds as advertised) to the final call that they made to me a few days before travel, just to check that we had everything and didn't have any final questions (such a nice touch), everything was dealt with professionally and in such a nice way. Fraser at Dialaflight is so nice to speak to and he really knows what he is talking about. He was even completely honest when it came to the theme park tickets. I wasn't sure what we needed, but Fraser explained how the tickets worked and what tickets would be best for our trip. But rather than pressuring us in to buying the tickets, he told us to take some time to decide exactly what we wanted to do and make sure that we didn't buy all kinds of tickets that we wouldn't have time to use. He even advised us to order a couple of planning dvd's, which we did and they were so helpful. And watching them made us even more excited for our trip. We added our tickets onto our booking a couple of months after our initial reservation - perfect.
I can't recommend Dialaflight highly enough. It felt so good to be able to speak to the same person anytime we needed to and everything felt safe and well organised. It was such a fantastic service.
I will certainly be booking with Dialaflight again and can't wait to go back to Orlando.
Thank you Dialaflight (and Fraser) - keep up the good work!!
I booked my last 3 holidays with dial-a-flight and I have only good things to say about them. When I first booked them I was just looking for a last minute break with the Mrs and they got us a great deal on a trip to Rome we had a great time. I've since booked 2 proper package holidays with them and both times its gone without a hitch. Some people on here moaning about the service I just don't get it, I don't even have to tell em who I am when I call now they know its me before I start talking. The second trip my youngest daughter got ill and I had to call them from Florida to extend the holiday by 2 days and they sorted it all out for me there and then and it didn't cost as much as I was expecting either (even though I got it back off the insurance it still had to go on the credit card at the time!)
The guy I talk to knows his stuff and whilst I'm alright on computers and able to do the searching online I still like that I can just tell him what I want and he'll get it for me . Could I get it cheaper maybe yes but not much cheaper I'm sure... And I'm gonna keep using them and you should call them too!
3/3 well done dial a flight!
In 2011 myself and some friends booked a flight with Dial a flight and were happy with the journey and the service. We were aware that the deal they had arranged wasn't the cheapest but were content that we had let someone else arrange everything for us.
In 2012 we booked again for a trip to Gran Canaria. The flights and the hotels were booked and we were happy with the details but I was uncertain about the prices. I went online and I discovered that the entire trip was £1000 more expensive with dial-a-flight than direct from the hotel and airline at standard prices. I discovered that they had booked the basic room for the standard price of the delux seaview rooms. I confronted Dial-a-flight about this and recieved nothing but a wall of accusations and dismissal. Apparently it didn't matter that they were massively overcharging us it was our fault for agreeing.
We couldn't cancel even though we asked to do so only one week after booking (Ca. 2 months before travel) because their terms and conditions would not allow us without charging us the deposit, which according to Dial-a-Flight was the £2500 one of us had dutifully paid to cover their half of the holiday.
After complaining vigerously we did recieve a £300 reduction and promises that they would arrange something with the hotel. While I am pleased we did get a reduction the promises of upgraded rooms disappeared once we had settled our bill.
In addition Dial-a-flight failed to pay the additional (small fee) for each of us to reserve our seats on the flight. This meant that a group of 4 with 2 children had to split up and annoy strangers for a long flight.
Ultimately I cannot blindly rage against Dial-a-Flight because this was our own fault. Admittedly one of our group was too quick to confirm the booking by telephone and the rest of us were too slow to check. The warning here is that Dial-a-flight do not have your best interests at heart, are unlikely to give you anything close to the best rates or service and are totally inflexible if things go awry.
I bought a return ticket from Dial A Flight in 2008 from Manchester to Brisbane. Eventually I did not need the return part of the ticket so I wrote to Dial A Flight to ask them if they could cancel this ticket. They said I was entitled to a refund of £100.50. I emailed and asked them what I needed to do to claim this. I did not get a reply. I emailed them for the next year and only in 2009 did I get another response. I gave up and then earlier this year I tried emailing again. Eventually after emailing about 20 members of staff I finally got my refund in June 2012. I have not been given an apology nor a full explanation.
I go on holiday several times a year, usually a few European city breaks and one long haul to the USA per year. For my trips within Europe I have come to realise that Ryanair is my friend, usually using their website to book trips during sale periods. This combined with comparing hotel deals on a few websites usually saves me a few hundred pounds per trip. However, no matter how savvy I've been regarding sale periods and offers, I've yet to match Dialaflight's prices for my USA trips.
I first came across Dialaflight through word of mouth, my mum had booked a trip with them and got a decent deal. So, I used them for a trip to New York and saved about £200 on the quotes I was getting online. I've since used them for trips to Orlando, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and 2 multi-city trips, each time saving myself a fair amount. My current booking is for Glasgow to New York for a 3 night stay and then onto Las Vegas for 4 nights. The price I was given works out only £60 more expensive than going from Glasgow to Las Vegas for 4 nights alone, without the New York stay.
Dialaflight give you the option of paying the full balance or booking with your deposit and paying the final balance 10 weeks prior to your trip, so the flexibility is great if you want to secure a low price for your trip but don't have the full balance yet. I have never had any issues with any of my booking, everything has always went smoothly with regards to checking in for my hotel, flights, etc. Any changes to your itinerary such as flight times changing or if you have made a payment and you are immediately notified via email. They also have an Iphone app which allows you to check your bookings, contact your advisor or find your hotel if you get lost when out and about and abroad.
I have recommended them to several friends who are also now return customers. I plan to continue using them for further trips.
Whilst I can appreciate we all have different experiences, the nature of my experience has forced me to write about it. Normally I would not have bothered but to loose £800 is something I can't ignore. In my experience when you are giving dial-a-flight money, they are "friendly" and "nice" sometimes flippant but the moment you want to take it back or you have trouble and need "customer service" they ignore you. It is as simple as that. So be wary of them as they are not what they seem at first. On the other hand the actual airline (also with it's failings) are more flexible when it comes to changing tickets. As you can see I have not mentioned a particular airline so i am not prejudiced but this is my experience. I will never use dial a flight again.
We have just returned january 15th 2011 from Florida which was our fifth visit,we normally book all our holiday ourselves via the internet but due to people being stranded etc because of the ash cloud we agreed to book through a travel company Dial A flight was the cheapest we found but my god I wish we had paid the extra and gone with somebody else. here goes
firstly dial a flight cant tell the difference between an email and post as we where anxious at the beginning of December to have our Etickets and house details we kept calling the office to be told they got posted out last week,I telephoned back four days later and they where sent there and then via email .
we where quoted a price for upgrading our hire car and when we telephoned back two weeks later to upgrade it had gone up another £90.00 my partner got into a row with the guy on the phone and told him we would upgrade at the airport.when we arrived in Florida the cost of the car to upgrade was going to be over £1000 pounds due to the plane cancellations throughout America and they had hiked up their prices,we stuck with the original car which turned out to be a fiat Uno we had our two sons with us both six foot, anyway after the guy from Alamo took pity on us he gave us a bigger saloon.
then we arrives at the house remember its xmas eve freezing in Florida as well as uk to find the house bitterley cold and the A/C having a clear lock box over it so we couldnt warm the house up.
we all fell into bed after our journey and in the morning we had a good look around at our Executive villa
the pool was floating in leaves, the pool furniture was broken and filthy, the carpets where so stained it was unbelievable, the games room was full of broken bits of furniture broken clothes maiden, burst pool toys and tins of paint just left out.
we went to the supermarket and I bought soap powder as all the beds smelt dusty and looked unwashed
and the setee in the living room talk about a burst couch it had all holes in it and the cushions where burst with the stuffing hanging out.
we went to talk to the managment company AAA High Grove estates and who is the manager only an English bloke wIth attitude,he tells me to clean the pool myself as there is a brush and a net in the pool area,I told him about the carpet being filthy he just was not interested,I explained there was a comment book at the house and the stains have been mentioned and the broken garden furniture for at least two years, then he asked us for a $500 deposit for breakages I laughed and asked him why the carpet hadnt been cleaned with the persons deposit who actually stained the carpets and he told me it was upto the owner. He then asked us for $1050 for pool heat the most we have ever paid is $500 dollars for our stay.
I contacted Dial A flight and told them of our plight over the house and what had happened with the car, they did nothing, they promised to look into the upgrade of the car for us and they would send us a emal
we recieved the email but it was just a quote and when we returned to the airport with the Email they said it wasnt worth the paper it was written on.so we paid another $800 dollars to upgrade the car.
Our holiday was ruined we have always had lovely rental propertys and felt so relaxed after the busy days at the parks,we just didnt want to return to the house it was awful.
my partner ended up going into the management company again where he ended up having a blazing row with the English managment guy,who basically called us liars when we told him all the places we had stayed in the past when we had booked our villas separately.
one night after staying out as long as we possibly could ,we where at the entrance of our private gated community when we spotted two Sherrifs cars driving onto the estate it turns out a resident had his front door kicked in and all his electical stuff stolen,
I am so not going to let this drop I have emailed Dial A flight today and if I get no Joy from them I will be contacting the Ombudsmen as our trips to he USA cost us around £10.000 pounds inclusive of spending money and we have never regretting going once,we usually start the holiday fund savings account the week we return to take us back out there again, but we are all so depressed no-one has mentioned going back.
DO NOT BOOK WITH DIAL A FLIGHT _
We booked in March for christmas to get a good deal on our flights ,Dial a flight are not the cheapest but they came across very helpful
DO NOT BE FOOLED !
We good a flight via KL onto Singapore and then back to KU .WE then decided not to go to Singapore so changed the flight, we were told this wwas fine and there was £100 admin charge-at the end of the day we were only getting off the flight instaed of fying on -we did make a change on dates that they said was fine ,but what they dont make clear you have to book hotels with them ,and there rates are rubbish .
They have twisted everything round we have booked our accomadation direct ,they now want a stupid amont of money too book the holiday with the accomadation - for their commision of course !!!
We booked a package, flights and hotel, with dial a flight. Due to the volcano we were stranded in the US. Dial a flight did not want to know. We spent a fortune on calling them, and they did nothing for us whatsoever. The told us that the Foreign Office website, informing us that Dial a Flight had a duty of care for us as we had bought a package, not just flights, was wrong. So Foreign Office was wrong, Dial a Flight was right (!). Just shocking. There are many good agencies around, don't use Dial a Flight - they will abandon you when you really need them!
We booked a trip with our 3 Grandchildren to Windsor Hills Orlando Florida for 2 weeks starting 16 Jan 2010 with DIAL A FLIGHT, Flights Car hire and accommodation. The price was £3050.00 pretty much the same as the rest but Raj the sales consultant was nice so we went with them. The Flights and Car hire where great but when it came to the 3 bed Condo they gave us well that was bad. On arriving we found the main bathroom toilet blocked, we had another one in the main bedroom so we all used that until i could report this to Hotel Beds on the monday morning when they opened which was the company that Dial a flight use. They then contacted another company who the rent this property from called Gold Key property Management who rent this property on behalf of the owners. We returned home Monday night to find nothing had been done so i called Raj in London on tuesday to see if he could sort it but he could not. I then called Gold Key to try and get this sorted and when i rang all i got was told 3 times that i will be charged if they came out, this toilet was blocked on arrival but the rude office manageress would not have it, she told me to unblock it myself with a plunger that is provided. I put the phone down and went to look for the plunger but there was not one in the Property so i rang her back with whice she said she would deliver one so i could do it. Anyway we got back tuesday night to find that the plunger and had been delivered but the had locked the Bathroom door so we had no access to the bath. Wednesday morning i got up and found 3 Cockroaches in the Lounge which i had to remove as my 3 grandkids got scared. I now called Raj again in London and he said that this was not right and he would Email them. with that i went to Hotel Beds to see what was going on. They said that they would contact Gold Key and try and sort this out and i also reported the other things wrong in the property which where LACK OF PEST CONTROL, CHAIRS TO SIT ON WHERE COVERED IN OLD FOOD STAINS, The Mosquito nets on the Balcony where ripped to bit so if you wanted to Balcony doors open you would fill the place with biting insects, the Carpets where filthy, the Bathroom Mats where filthy which we had to wash, there was black mold growing on the Bedroom wall right next to where my Grandson was sleeping so we moved the bed and this bedroom also smelt of urine, the vents on the wall where covered in dirt and dust which is where i thought the cockroaches had come from, the battery backup to the fire and smock alarm was also missing. Hotel beds did get the Bathroom unlocked and the toilet unblocked and also sent in the pest control people but for the other things they got ignored. When we left the Appartment we where expected to do the Towel and Bed linen washing although you are charged for a cleaner to come in after we are left or you would be charged more if you do not so we stripped the beds and pillow cases and thats when we found that we had been sleeping on very heavy stained pillows that looked like yellow urine stains, made you feel sick. All of this i reported to Dial a Flight on my return with Pictures but have never had a reply. If anyway one wants to see the pics then just Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and i will send them to you. Windsor Hills is a Lovely Resort and when i go back i will definately not be booking with Dial A Flight who are using very low quality Property Company's over there but will book direct with Windsor Hills who will make sure you get a real good place. The Estate office Receptionist after me teller the story did say that there are a lot of property management company's letting property's on there and that HotelBeds.com and Gold Key are 2 of the worst.
I Hope this Stops you booking a filthy Hole.
I have used Dial-A-Flight for flights from the UK to Barbados. I have found the staff (particularly Josh) to be very helpful and friendly, going above and beyond the call of duty. I found them initially because they were offering the lowest fares.
After my initial booking, my numerous telephone calls and emails were dealt with promptly, efficiently and in a professional but friendly manner - even when I had to change my booking last minute and caused them some extra work to say the least! Any queries I had were followed up in detail.
You are assigned a reference and personal travel advisor and they will be with you step-by-step to answer any questions you have, no matter how mundane! I really did feel like they were genuinely interested in my holiday and wanted the best deal for me.
I would not hesitate to use Dial-A-Flight time and time again, and I would certainly recommend them to my friends.
In contrast to the other reviews I have seen on this site, I can honestly say that I've never had any trouble at all booking with Dialaflight. I've booked quite a few holidays with them over the past 5 years or so and have always had everything run very smoothly.
I alway deal with the same person. She makes sure that I'm well looked after and she always finds me a fab deal on the flights. Last time I booked we went away to St Lucia on an all inclusive trip. We had two weeks and it cost us way less than we saw the same holiday for in our local travel agents on our high street.
We did have a bit of a hiccup with a name spelling, but when I rang them up, it was changed without any hassle or cost. I suppose that's what happens when you actually check your booking and inform them of any mistakes!
Mind you, that's the only mistake I think I've ever had happen in all my bookings with them.
I've used them for several Caribbean trips, all of which were fantastic value in my opinion. I also booked a last minute deal to Paris with them last year. We only needed the hotel (cos we had booked the Eurostar) but she found us a great deal in a lovely hotel just off the Champs Elyssee. Perfect for our little sightseeing trip.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Dial a flight again. They are always helpful and a delight to speak to on the phone.
shocking is all i can say i booked with dial a flight back in jan for trip to nz in oct this year, the guy who dealt with me rushedlike mad i felt just to get off p,hone on to the next customer quickly as poss, it gets worse , just checked out price on dial a flight website and the cost of hol is 600.00 cheaper, than when i booked it when i phoned them up i asked to speak to a managerto ask why in two months since i booked it has dropped in price needles to say the attitude was tough, he wouldnt budge an inch then i tried customer care and a woman called linda beggared belief with her answer, she said i shouldnt go and check prices on their website , as it fluctuates and nobody bothers like i have, yeah all in all please do yourself a favour and avoid this has gor to be the worst of the worst for customer care, believe me i have booked loads of hols and never had problems before. kay
I was very impressed Lex at Dial A Flight. Lex, was courteous, and very helpful he made the whole process of booking a flight a pleasure. The after sales service was also fantastic, far and above anything I have ever experienced before. Lex called me at home on a couple of occasions to make sure I had received everything I needed and, once more, wished me a pleasant journey! I would recommend Dial A Flight to anybody!
I would recommend anyone to contact Lex at Dial a Flight, for an easy transaction, I will certainly ask for him on my next holiday booking.
Lex is, in my opinion, a credit to his Company.
I have travelled with a few Companies, mainly the cheapest I could find on the net, Dial A Flight, although not the cheapest (very close though ) is in my opinion the best I have ever picked
